Shandon Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast


Shandon farm is 15 minute walk north out of Drymen village, with views of The Trossachs and Loch Lomond to the west and The Campsies and Queens View to the south. Ideal for your first stopover after completing the first section of The West Highland Way or beginning The Rob Roy Way. There are 3 en-suite twin/double rooms, all withTVs and a large guest sitting rooom with a log burner and 42" smart TV. Shandon is a working farm with 130 native British Beef Shorthorn cattle. It is double glazed and centrally heated throughout.

My daughter and I stayed here on our first night of our West Highland Way journey. Although it is slightly out of Drymen, it is worth the short extra walk. Jane (the proprietor) was lovely and welcoming. Before we'd arrived she had already helped us with our WHW organisation.

Excellent lodgings. Clean, modern facilities. The bathroom had an awesome shower! Courtesy items left in the bathroom included; a cosmetic kit, shave kit, lotion, shampoo and shower gel. The lounge was large and nicely decorated and had a community fridge and microwave.
