We arrived on a cold wet afternoon to a warm and cheery welcome. Once signed in Jane gave us a tour of the well thought out amenities and left us to settle in. The family room was more like a suite, with lots of space for an energetic 3yr old and travel cot for the baby. After a very comfortable... More

Stayed one night with my daughter. Warm welcome from Jane. Room lovely and warm on cold day after walking. Lots of information available and advice from Jane. Nice pub, shop and restaurant in walking distance. Plan to rebook next year when completing West Highland Way.

We were given a warm welcome by Chris on our arrival after our first day walking the West Highland Way and despite being earlier than the arrival time on the front door, this presented no problem. We were shown to our room, which was quite small, with a bathroom outside in the hallway but this was reflected in the price... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and glad we were here to check you in early. Delighted you realised the budget room was how it is advertised as a “budget” option for walkers. Hope you can come back in the future, Jane and Chris. More

My husband and I stayed at The Hawthorns for 3 nights in October. Jane and Chris, who own the B&B, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were great and set you up for the day. Our spacious room was very comfortable - a big, comfy bed, a lovely bathroom with a shower and corner bath and tea/coffee... More

Set right in the centre of Drymen, attractive to look at from the outside and didn't disappoint when we went in. Had a great family room which could accommodate four of us comfortably with an adjoining door between two rooms. Great shop across the road from it which provided reasonably priced gifts and things you may have forgotten to take... More

Myself and two friends stayed here two years ago, and as we were in the area earlier this month we had no hesitation in booking again. Such a lovely couple who were very helpful and provided us with a lovely room (two adjoining bedrooms with en-suite) and a splendid Scottish breakfast. We would highly recommend The Hawthorns to anyone visiting... More

We spent 2 nights at the end of August, 16 and were more than happy with the place. The hosts were helpful and friendly explaining points of interest. The porridge has to be the best in Scotland. The room was clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable. No hesitation in recommending this establishment to anyone travelling to the Highlands.

Welcomed by our host Jane. A good sized room with excellent separate 'en-suite'. Very comfortable bed and a great Scottish breakfast, bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans, mushrooms and potato scone. Set us up nicely for another day's walking!

6 of us stayed here for one night when we walked the West Highland Way. From the moment we arrived we were invited to make ourselves at home and made to feel welcome. The lounge was great after a long walk to catch up. Accomodation clean and well maintained. Highly recommend
