Stayed a night here,a group of 8 should have been 9 because we lost 1 on the trip but he's ok.When we arrived it doesn't look much from outside because its an old building built in the 1700's.well what a surprise on the inside, all modern and well equipped rooms, great bar and outside seating,if its not raining. We had an evening meal,it... We stayed as part of the murder mystery event. The event was very good and I enjoyed it - it did go on a bit long though which would be my only criticism. The dinner for the evening event was excellent - good food and good service. Breakfast was another matter - it was advertised that breakfast was served from 8-10am.... More

First time at this hotel for two nights to celebrate my friends 60th birthday and we were not disappointed. There was a party of four and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here. The murder mystery show was hilarious and would highly recommend to our families and friends. The staff were so friendly and Kirsteen was very nice and helpful. Food... More

Me and my partner visited The Winnock last night. The hotel is full of character and is very nice.Checked in no problem, staff friendly and helpful. The room was spotless as was the bathroom and very well presented, however the temperature in the room was far to warm and uncomfortable. We opened the windows but the noise from the kitchen downstairs... The room was lovely, but remote for a single older person as I was in the Annexe to the hotel, last night very rowdy, lot of banging and shouting. Fire alarm activated late at night, felt very vulnerable. Shower was old fashion and useless, no power, felt unwashed, food excellent, bacon could have been cooked fresh, seems like it been... More

Drymen is in such a fortunate location being on the West Highland Way, the start of the Rob Roy Way and also on cycle route 7 so a great catchment for all walkers and cyclists. It's also a great place as the Winnock is here where we have stayed before. A phone call confirmed they would store our bikes overnight.... More

Came her for dinner as everywhere seemed to be full. Not particularly friendly staff and meal was nothing special. Overall not a lot of effort seems to have been put into this place. Ate in big room beside bar with television. Not particularly inspiring.

I always start off any hotel review by saying....Go for the experience - if you want the creature comforts of home, then stay home. If you want the luxury of 5 stars, stay in a 5 star. If you are obnoxious by nature or rude to staff, they might not jump over barrels to be cater to your every need... More

We had a nice stay in this hotel. The rooms were nice sized and comfy. There is no air conditioning (it was hot during our visit), but the windows opened and we were comfortable. In the bathroom, I liked the rain shower head. The toilet worked so-so -- not as much water pressure as we are accustomed to. The staff... More

Beds were a little soft for me and not enough electrical plugs. The bathroom was big enough. It was clean and nice otherwise. The dinner we had the first evening was delicious but the second evening, the food was incredibly bland. I liked that it was an older hotel, though, with lots of history. Internet was fine. TV reception was... More
