Lovely friendly hotel, treat like a family member, food lovely, rooms basic but clean, and best of all dog friendly, booked on line a couple of days before easy to find, had a meal in bar on night, good choice of food, full English breakfast , cereal etc available as well, everything clean and tidy throughout,

Terrific food, good accommodation and excellent hospitality. Stayed with some friends whilst enjoying the area. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Best roast beef I have ever had. Well stocked bar and substantial and well prepared breakfast. Hospitality as it should be. The owners were welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend and without doubt will... More

We stayed at the Luib hotel on 7 November 2015. Four of us had climbed nearby Ben more and after a tiring day on the hill, we couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind then the Luib hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and David and nelly looked after us really well. They took our climbing gear... More

We stayed at the Luib the night before an ultramarathon starting in Killin. We arrived around 8.30 and were warmly welcomed by the owners, before sitting down next to the open fire for some lovely, and reasonably priced, homecooked food. Our room was very nice- very comfy king size bed and lovely shower room. As we had to be off... More

A very comfortable inn with an open fire, bundles of character and cosy rooms. The bar is stocked with a fantastic selection of whiskies, which is great if - like me - you're travelling solo, so can't drink your way through the distilleries, but would still like to sample some of Scotland's finest while there! The location is ideal -... More

Stayed here for one night on a visit to he Highlands. The welcome was warm, the room was adequate, albeit basic. No overhead light in bathroom, but used razor light. If we'd been staying more than one night would have mentioned it to hosts,Didn't like the fact that window didn't open. The bar eating area was cosy with real fire, and I thought some of food was... More

Cosy atmosphere. Ideally situated for a quiet weekend away. James and Nelly were very good hosts. Lies between Crianlarich and Killin on the A85. Bit out of the way but that is one of the plusses. Good walks nearby.

When a series of crashes shut much of west Scotland from Glasgow, our 90 minute trip to the airport became a 5 hour tour of the highways and bye ways of Scotland with two small kids. After we finally gave up hope of getting to Glasgow we decided to pull into the first hotel we came to, which turned out... More

We stayed in this authentic, historical inn for 3 nights and enjoyed good home cooking and a very comfy King-size bed in a lovely room with a beautiful shower room. The hosts James and Nelly made us - and our little dog Ruby - very welcome. The location was very quiet, in between two villages and the surrounding views were... More
