I stayed here for 2 nights. Excellent location, on the Main Street of Balloch where the pubs and restaurants are. Lovely breakfast, I had a cooked breakfast the first morning and scrambled eggs the next. The room was large and the ensuite was perfect. I would definitely recommend.

Everything about the Gowanlea is fabulous. Andrea's welcome is warm and friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean, a really great size and more comfortable than some city hotels I've stayed in. The bathroom was excellent with a fabulous shower and again, was completely spotless. Fantastic value for money, particularly considering the breakfast quality and choice. Would really recommend the Gowanlea,...

And tartan carpet! There were several dinner options within a 5 minute walk and breakfast was as good as the other reviews...

As Americans, we are visiting Scotland for 5 weeks. This is our ninth B&B and probably the best yet. Andrea is well organized in welcoming guests, maintains a very clean guest house, and provides a huge variety of breakfast choices. My omelet was large and delicious, enough to keep me going all day. The room is orderly, clean, and tastefully...
