Great spot on Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. Hotel cosy and typically Scottish open fires and snug bar with good ales. Our stay unfortunately during a refurb so no dining room or lounge as such. Could improve with the inclusion of background music and fires being lit daily to create some atmosphere...... it's a bit flat. Rooms clean and...

In the dead of winter we stayed at the Village Inn. After hikes and sightseeing the pub was a very welcoming and warm place for a dram and evening meal. In the morning before we set out for the Highlands a hearty fresh cooked Scottish breakfast made sure we had the fuel to climb the Bens. For our next visit...

Spent two nights in this wonderful venue over Valentines, the location was truly mind-blowing, and the venue itself and the staff were fabulous. Our room was big, cosy and beautifully decorated. Bed was super comfy, it was immaculately clean and well priced! We had 2 meals in the restaurant, and also 2 breakfasts, and everything was to such a high...

Went in a January, very wet and cold outside, lovely and warm and dry inside. Log fire welcome Choice of real and craft ales. Food looks lovely but didnt actually eat here as we were full board nearby. As you would expect, malt Whisky fills the top shelf.

Stayed here for one night as a last minute booking and was very pleasantly surprised..in a stunning location- at the start of the village coming from Tarbet- overlooking Loch Long. The staff were very friendly and accommodated us upon an early arrival. The rooms are modern and well appointed, the bathroom was clean with a nice deep bath and plenty...

Room 4 was cosy and clean comfortable and spacious enough for a couple, good size bathroom with very large bath and unlimited hot water. Found all the staff from...

I booked the Village Inn for 2 nights, a break for myself my husband and 2 friends. We choice it because of it was only 45 minutes from Glasgow and if the weather was bad getting home wouldn't be a worry. Having never stayed here before I read the reviews. Couldn't possibly be that good or so I thought. Well,...
