Been here many times but this was my first overnight stay in the place. Its a very strange 'Adams Family' type hotel and full of character. Its kinda grubby but it kinda gets away with it. The room and bathroom was clean however and the...More

A warm and welcoming lunch stop in an authentic old style inn. Good food in an interesting and relaxing setting with local and visiting clientele. A good varied menu of local specialities and reliable choices.

Very atmospheric and nice pub. Lots of cool taxidermy. Worth a visit if you are passing by or walking nearby. Friendly staff. The food was distinctly average (at best) and over priced though. Portions were big and you probably won't care if you have been...More

I did not stay in August, however, there is a place Nextdoor to the Drover's we liked MUCH better. Drover's is really grubby.

Stay in one of the far nicer hotels/b&bs nearby for the view, otherwise you are in for a truly grotty experience.
