Had a great time at the Drovers, if you are looking for traditional Scottish and ghost stories this is the place for you. Food excellent and not expensive. Staff were all friendly and the manager (Irish fella) was full of history regarding the the drovers.

I did not stay in August, however, there is a place Nextdoor to the Drover's we liked MUCH better. Drover's is really grubby.

Stay in one of the far nicer hotels/b&bs nearby for the view, otherwise you are in for a truly grotty experience.
