Τhe environment of Drovers Inn was breathtaking! It's a very well maintained hotel of 1705, made of stone. The interior design leaves you speechless: Old portraits, heads and bodies from any animal you can think of, old pictures and paintings, which dimly appearing through the dim lighting. I was just a brief visitor but it made me a great sense!... More

Really old fashioned quirky hotel entrance (check out the stuffed "haggis" in the display case), Really helpful staff and food/ beer really good. Breakfast really tasty and breakfast room really old fashioned. Not your run of the mill hotel and definitely not a chain style hotel, a great individual hotel with real character, wish there were more like this.

An "interesting" pub to stop for lunch. Don't expect a modern interior. Stuffed animals and birds, dark atmospheric paintings, artefacts that possibly have a Scottish heritage and bare stone walls. Plenty to look at while you have your drink and food. Waitresses polite, efficient and attentive and the service was given with a smile. We had haggis which was very... More

We weren't planning on stopping here for the night but due to a car breakdown, the AA-man Ian recommended this place. We're glad we stopped here! We arrived late (9.30pm) but were still able to eat. Food was excellent. Traditional pub food, but very tasty and a lot of vegetarian options. We were given the 'bridal suite', which is basically... More

The pub and lobby are well worth a look. Food was good & the lobby's "collection" will entertain. We stayed in the Drover's rooms across the street. They were an OK size with en suite bathrooms, but it's the bare minimum. If you're just looking for a place to park your head for the night, it'll do. Next time I... More

Stopped in for a cappuccino and this place is great. So rich and full of history on its walls and in its staff. Wonderful, friendly and good coffee too. Hear its a haunted place, tried but no spirits wanted to talk. Wonderful place, the views are amazing. Nice waterfall far behind the pub. Busy, but can always get a seat.... More

We decided to stop over en route to Mull and it is an excellent location to break up the journey. We knew that it was not your average hotel so we were prepared for the old fashioned feel. The pub was brilliant and we loved the atmosphere and all the pictures and props. Kids loved it as well and we... More

I have visited this pub many times and stayed here a handful of times too. My family and friends return time after time too. It is not your typical pub to say the least but I believe you have to experience it to understand for yourself! The atmosphere at the weekend is fantastic and we have found ourselves dancing the... I was recommended to visit the Drovers Inn whilst roadtripping around Scotland and like most recommendations I was at first sceptical - however this Inn is fantastic. The atmosphere of the pub was great, live music (on a weekday!), the staff were welcoming and cheery, the food was great and I kicked myself that I didn't book in to stay... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located at the very top of Loch Lomond, The Drovers Inn is steeped in three centuries of Scottish tradition. In fact, Rob Roy himself has enjoyed hospitality at this world-reknowned hotel, bar and restaurant! Our residents vary from those who are stopping-over on their west highland way adventure, to those who are staying purely for the good food and entertainment. The bar regularly hosts local musicians and guests and guaranteed a lively time on Friday and Saturday nights. Come in for a heat - and stay for the warmth. ... more   less
