It is just by the lake, with very nice view, especially from the restaurant. Breakfast is good with a variety of choices. Perhaps it used to be a great hotel, but modernisation is needed urgently. Also the rooms need to be remodeled. WiFi is provided but it is very slow.

Old hotel but suitable for a short stay. My travel companion liked it best of all places we stayed but all were basic places. Not expensive and rather basic but ok for a short stay. Not a very big room but had what we needed. Bed was ok. The bathroom water did not run cold at all for me -... More

The front of the hotel does have stunning views of The Cobbler. We were in the area for some walking and stayed in the Arrochar Hotel. The staff in the hotel were lovely and kept constantly busy by guests coming and going. Our room was a twin room with a rear view - not too bad. Our problem came with... More

We stayed 4 nights. The way the customer faces changed, I'm guessing that most people stay only 1 or 2 nights. The staff were friendly enough (nationality unimportant). However, the fact that some were on duty at night in the bar & restaurant, then on duty for breakfast, then on duty again in the bar and restaurant at night is... More

Booked direct with hotel and upgraded to a suite with loch view. Tea tray had not been cleaned or restocked so dirty coffee mugs, spoons and water glasses. Bedside light needed new bulb. Bathroom tatty with plugs not attached to chain. Toilet rolls weren't replenished, toiletries not good quality. No bottles of mineral water in room (our friends did get... More

The title is about as much as I can say about this hotel. Stopped off here on the way south from the highlands and needed dog friendly accommodation. Tatty hotel in desperate need of TLC as well as a good clean, I don't think anything has been done since the 60'.

We stayed here overnight. It was our third overnight hotel in Scotland and the most expensive but the worst by far. I will not comment on the nationality of the staff but few local employees and you would think you were in East Europe although we had no complaints about the staff. The whole of the hotel looks tired and... More

The dining room in this hotel offers the most spectacular views of the loch and the surrounding mountains. The food is well presented and what in Oz we would call "good tucker." We were served by girls from Seville, Romania, and Hungary. I really enjoyed the mushroom soup, followed by a generous portion of beer-battered haddock and chips with mushy... More
