I have stayed here twice now and both times i choose a loch view and both times i got room 313. We love this room with a lovely view of the loch. Its clean and tidy and bed is comfortable. The floors are a bit creaky but so what. The staff at the Claymore are very friendly and helpful and...

I decided to take my husband back to the claymore for a three day break with it being his 60th. It was the best three days. On arrival in our room was a surprise bottle prosecco from the bar from my niece. Great bubbly. Also staff were lovely as always. Mara, Elaine, Ana, Adrian who served us and many more...

I visited the Claymore Hotel as part of a National Holidays package deal. The hotel is in need of updating as there are visible signs of wear and tear. The twin room we stayed in was right at the top of the building and was small. The bedding was clean but the rest of the room was on the dirty...

Another thoroughly enjoyable 4-day break, with superb service. The Claymore is gradually undergoing refurbishment, and so there can be a marked difference in the feel of the rooms. Some are still in real need of updating, and let's hope these are scheduled for a make-over soon. However, I don't mind out-dated decor, worn carpets and uber-basic bathrooms. What I do...

Arrived on a Caledonian holidays coach trip and after a visit to Luss and Inverarry we were greeted on the coach by hotel assistant manager who gave us a run down on the evening events and details for dinner and breakfast etc. Check in was very quick and we had paid extra for a room with Loch View. Stunning View....

Many thanks for your comments on trip advisor. I'm delighted to read that you enjoyed your brief stay at the Claymore Hotel. Breakfast is served until 9am - the main reason being that our coaches depart for excursions around 9.15am. Some 1 night stays depart later but these later departures are dependent on driver rest breaks and unfortunately breakfast serving...

Although it rained for 3 days we had a great week visiting Oban, Stirling, Calendar plus some small towns, with loads of interesting facts from Alex our driver with National Holidays given throughout. The scenery was beautiful with some magnificent waterfalls. We payed an extra £14 each for a scenic view which worth every penny over looking Loch Long. Our...

Went for four days with National Holidays. Hotel was fine and warm. Room small but had everything we needed and was clean and had a nice shower and flat screen TV but only 3-4 channels. Tried to book a room with a view with National but they said they could not do it even though they advertised the prices to...
