Very friendly staff, food good wifi is very erratic and only available in the communal areas. I would always recommend a loch view as the rooms are better. There is no lifts so if you or someone you are travelling with is unable to climb stairs you will need to specify in your booking, we did see a few people... More

Returned yesterday from a 4-day National Holidays trip to Scotland with my husband. We paid a £5 pppn supplement for a room with a view of the loch and I can honestly say that this was money well spent. Our room had only recently been refurbished and, although on the small side, it suited us very well. Everything was new,... More

Went on national holiday my first because I wanted to see the tattoo. It took 10 hours from Stockport after pick ups etc but we stopped at Gretna which was lovely. I did enjoy the journey but our hotel was 2 1/2 hours outside Edinburgh. Hotel was fine food was great biggest downside we did not have a shower and... More

Many thanks for your comments on trip advisor. I'm sorry to read that you were disappointed in the hotel when you stayed recently. We have had 59 rooms recently refurbished with more in the pipeline. The dining room staff do work very hard and with short mealtimes it can look hectic but it runs very efficiently. We have also redecorated... More

We have just returned from a 4 day stay on a National Holidays trip. I must say we had a lovely time. The food was very good and the dining arrangements were very well organised. I thought it might be a free-for-all with everyone potentially going to eat at the same time, but it was nothing like that. The breakfast... More

I travelled with friends on a National Holiday break. The scenery is lovely. The area is quiet and peaceful. We were welcomed by the staff who were all pleasant and helpful. We had a twin room and a single. Clean basic rooms. The beds were comfortable. Coffee and tea making available in the room but no biscuits. The twin room... More

Just returned from a five days holiday at The Claymore Hotel with National Holiday. Our room (314) was excellent lovely view of the loch. I phoned up prior to arriving asking for a room with few steps as possible as my partner had breathing problems. The hotel had no lift. They obliged by giving us a room with only SEVEN... More

Returned today (17/09/16) from a three day coach trip with National Holidays. We had room 415 that has a view over the loch, it was very clean, newly decorated and comfortable. The bed sheets and towels were spotless and although it has an en-suite, there is only a bath within, but no shower, the hot water at all times was... More

Took my mum for a wee overnight stay. Staff were so friendly, the room was very comfortable. The bar lounge was very chatty and welcoming. Bed and breakfast - food quite basic but very good quality and tasty. Would go back

Many thanks for your review on trip advisor. I'm sorry to read that you were disappointed with your room.
