Just had a long weekend at the Claymore hotel with national holidays. We were a little apprehensive before we went having read some negative reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was much much better than expected and the staff were very polite and helpful. Yes there is some updating required and a shower instead of a bath would... More

Been for a long weekend at this outdated hotel. All rooms need an update as does most of the hotel area. rooms were clean and tidy but the decor was ugly and needs a fresh look. The staff were very pleasant and very accommodating. The food was basic but well turned out and the staff were very hard working. The... More

I have just got back from a 5 day National Holiday trip with my father. The average age of the passengers was probably around mid 60's. The hotel looks a little tired, but the views are spectacular! Check in went well, and we were directed up to our room via several flights of stairs & doorways, not easy for the... More

5 day break with National Holidays. Can't complain about anything. Room clean and comfortable. Food lovely. Entertainment fine. ALL staff friendly yet efficient. Lovely tours with Alex our driver who gave us loads of information. Even the weather was fabulous. This is the 3rd time at this hotel and won't be the last. Take mossie spray.

Stayed in this hotel Friday 15th -Monday 18th July, the hotel has the most scenic views of the Loch, absolutely beautiful. Greeted at reception by a lovely lady and made to feel very welcome. Stayed on the 1st floor room 7, not a great view but we could have paid the extra for a view over the Loch, but the... More

We stayed for four nights on a National Holidays break in a newly decorated room with a pleasant view of Loch Long (which we paid extra for). Our room was compact, clean and comfortable, unfortunately it had not been refurbished. There was insufficient storage space and not even a mixer tap nevermind a shower in the 1980s style bathroom, we... More
