Quick overnight stay with my 2 boys before heading to the Open golf at Royal Troon. Welcomed by the owner and offered clear guidelines on timings etc. Location is stunning overlooking the sea and we had a triple room (no 10) with the same view which was lovely. As we had to check out before breakfast started the owners kindly... More

This guest house cannot be faulted. The owners are incredibly welcoming, friendly and happy to assist with anything. The room me and my boyfriend stayed in on the first floor at the front of the building was stunning, a great size and a fantastic view of the bay. Loved the little communal lounge too. Gorgeous, charming place - didn't want... More

We booked accommodation at this guest house in order to visit the Isle of Bute Jazz Festival. We had a most wonderful room with a comfortable bed and leather sofa in the bay window overlooking the harbour and the bay. The spacious room next door to our room was the guest sitting room and was equipped with lovely seating, TV,... More

Very comfortable, with and exceptionally good sitting room. It was a lovely night so it was wonderful to sit and look out over the bay. The breakfast was excellent and far exceeds some of the places we have stayed. Would certainly recommend this guest house and hope to visit again.

Best guest house we have stayed in through our numerous travel experiences! We were warmly welcomed by the owners Fiona and Keir and made to feel that we had come home. Our room overlooked the seafront and was a beautiful modernized version of what this beautiful home must have been like in its era. The bathroom was totally renovated and... More

We had originally booked into another hotel which was awful and turned up here by chance. Great welcome and put in a fantastic room. Great breakfast, short stroll into town and a good pub a couple of doors down. Would be my go to place to stay in Rothesay.

Room was nice, shower excellent. I didn't have a view, but I had a peak in to one of the rooms with a sea view and it was stunning room with equally stunning vistas. The lounge is the jewel in the crown of the Glendale, truly resplendent and the perfect room to read or relax. Breakfast good, host friendly and... More

we arrived covered in mud after cycling the island off road. We were greeted by a friendly host who provided a hose to clean the bikes. He was very friendly and chatty. The room was ideal- what you would spect for the money certainly. Hotel facilities were perfectly adequate and the giant lounge was lovely with great views. Breakfast was... More
