Recently returned from the Bayview Hotel on the beautiful Isle of Bute. Have visited this excellent hotel before, but this time we were able to enjoy our 3 night stay in one of the top-floor suites , new since our last visit. The accommodation was absolutely delightful. The rooms had everything a visitor could want, were extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean,... More

We stayed in room 4 (not suitable for anyone infirmed). What a lovely, bright room facing the garden. Everything was there and sparkling! So clean - the hotel is spotless! We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast was beautifully cooked. It consisted of everything you could wish. Staff were lovely, too. We had a drink outside in late evening,... More

We had room 10 at the top of the hotel. Not suitable for those with mobility issues, however it affords an amazing view of the Clyde. Room is split into two with a separate lounge area which was an added bonus for us. Room was clean and well maintained by friendly staff. Despite the fact that there is currently a... More

What an excellent stay at the Bayview hotel Rothesay isle of Bute. All facilities at this hotel very good as was cleanliness with no problems to report. It is a small and homely hotel ..very comfortable . The owners were not offering evening meals during our stay,Andrew had unfortunately broken his shoulder. However the breakfasts where more than enjoyable. The view... More

The welcome was so friendly and warm, lovely way to begin our trip. The room was fantastic - talk about picture windows! This was certainly a room with a view (room 10). It was so good to have the extra space of the seating area - such comfy seats as well! Very good sleep and excellent breakfast. Nothing was too... More

Stayed here 15th to 18th April. Room was great. We only had breakfast there but the food was excellent.(poached eggs were done to perfection) Irene and Andrew the owners were very helpful. Lovely views across the bay from our room. (Room 5) Tea and coffee facility in the room. Decor a wee bit dated but don't let this put you... More

When you arrive at this lovely Victorian building you'll be made very welcome by the owners. The sea views are quite stunning. Its only a few minutes walk from the town centre, and provides a great base for a tourist. Given the age of the building, the room is a bit of a mix of old and new, but the... More

We stayed in room 5 which had class views of the sea and mountains. The room was large although it was built on a slight slope which felt a little weird at first. Staff were very nice and breakfast was decent. A little old fashioned interior in the main part of the hotel. But overall we enjoyed it for a... More

First time staying in The Bayview & really enjoyed our stay. Starting with the warm welcome, the wonderful super king size bed, warm & spotlessly clean room/en-suite and delicious breakfast the next day. Off street parking means you can either leave the car and enjoy the walk into Rothesay or have the convenience of door to door drive. Would definitely... More

We went to Rothesay, Isle of Bute, for a two-night stay at Bayview. The June weather was miserable, shutting down the ferry, but overall, the Scots were warm and welcoming. We stayed in the bay view room with canopy bed. It was lovely. Our favorite part, though, was the food. The husband is a gourmet chef and fixed dinners and... More
