My husband and I booked this hotel last minute. What a little gem it was. Friendly staff, great food & a nice room. Room was clean and comfortable, en-suite could do with updating. Food was fantastic we both had beer battered haddock with chips, the fish was perfectly cooked. Views of the Kyles of Bute is amazing. The bars have... More

I booked this as a last minute booking. I booked direct with the hotel and it was easy to do. The rooms are a bit dated, however why worry when the best parts of this hotel is downstairs. The staff are so welcoming when you get there and this is not s flash in the pan. The food is fantastic,... More

We were in a holiday lodge in Kames and visited the Hotel many times in 2 weeks, for coffee, tea, for lunch, dinner and the bar cafe. The staff is very friendly and ;professional and has humour. The food was super fresh; fresh fish for lunch, seafood from Loch Fyne and fine super quality lamb meat from the Isle of... More

We stopped at this hotel/bar for lunch. The views from the three bar rooms are delightful even on a drizzly day. The food was freshly prepared and served with the minimum of fuss. I would recommend the haddock and chips, freshly caught and absolutely delicious. It was a very kind of them to surprise Granny when they found out that... More

We took our three girls for dinner and were lucky to get a seat as it was quite busy. Brilliant service with very friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious, good menu with range of dishes to suit all. Nice relaxed atmosphere and obviously very popular with locals and visitors.

I got stranded a long way from home due to a road accident and asked my missus to find me a hotel. I feel very fortunate that she found this hotel for me. The room was clean and fresh and bright, tea coffee and Tunnock's teacakes all laid on. They serve good food and I tried to tackle three starters... More

Hotel very clean great choice of beers and whiskey. But the food was excellent and staff very friendly. The crab cakes for starters were very nice some people had soup they said it was very tasty. Go for the fish and chips beautiful with home made chips. Would definitely go again

We were directed here for dinner, having been unable to get a table at a nearby hotel first - very glad we ended up at the Kames Hotel. The bar and restaurant are smart with nice views. The staff promised us a table and though their system seemed a bit haphazard we were seated quite quickly. Staff were lovely and... More

This is a lovely hotel and pub by the side of the loch with unrestricted views over the water. The pub is very nicely decorated and was packed on a Saturday night, which was good as there's nowhere else to go. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant, rather than the bar, as it is a beautiful room with original... More
