We booked to stay a night here after searching for hotels vaguely near Fort William. I'm really glad that we did, because it turned out to be a really lovely find. We were made to feel very welcome and shown to a lovely, spacious room with a huge bathroom. It was everything we could have wanted. The staff were welcoming,... More

We were welcome by Lauren on arrival and shown to our room, we had a slight problem with the room and were moved with no fuss whatsoever. Lauren was extremely helpful later in the evening when I was deciding on what wine to have, most establishments would push you to buy the dearest but not in the Taynuilt hotel, this... More

Thank you for the kind review, We are more about the Dining experience and would always prefer people had the best matched drink to food we can offer, the most expensive is not always the best match and we truly believe that. I have passed your food comments on to kitchen who thank you very much and are glad you... More

We crossed Taynuilt while walking in the area. The hotel is located close to the train station and the access road. So ideal location for hiking around arriving by foot, car or train. Price/quality much better than for example alternatives in Oban. Hidden treasure regarding food. Very pleasant and kind people who run their hotel with great joy which you... More

I was here for a three night stay and I couldn't have been happier. After a journey where we got stuck behind slow moving traffic and then may have got slightly lost, the warm welcome at reception was greatly appreciated. The rooms were quiet and more than spacious enough for me, the showers were strong, the toiletries were good, everything... More

This is a small village near busy Oban. After a long day sightseeing in the rain, it was great to have a no fuss check in late evening, and help to our room, a small, clean, warm retreat. The real surprise was the stunning breakfast, w a wide offering including locally sourced, unusual mushrooms as part of a proper vegetarian... More

Taynuilt Hotel has one of my favourite restaurants to go to in the Oban area. Unlike the surrounding village's hotels Taynuilt Hotel's dining is definitely an 'experience'. As a local, I don't visit the hotel often enough but when I do, the meal is never forgotten. To start the canapes were served with dry ice, which amazed us all and... More

We stayed overnight on our way to the Isles. We booked a dinner bed & breakfast deal and although we chose one of the cheaper rooms it was very spacious and comfortable. Highlight of the stay was the evening meal which was outstanding and excellent value for money as part of the overnight package. There was no restriction on choice... More

Perhaps our most pleasant hotel stay on a tour of Scotland. Our room was well equipped and cozy. The dining experience was nothing short of amazing. But it's the friendly and courteous nature of the staff that set this hotel apart! It's a long way from the States but we'll definitely be back!

We booked a three night promotional dinner bed and breakfast package after enquiring through Best Loved Hotels. This included a bottle of house wine and pre-dinner drink each night at a price which was great value.
