We have now fully refurbished and added extensive facilities for Weddings making the Hotel a wonderful destination venue. Having been closed for 10 months for Major renovations we re-opened end October 2016 with what could be described now as one of the nicest Hotels in North Argyll. Free WiFi is excellent throughout the Hotel and each bedroom has a 43 inch wall mounted TV for comfortable viewing from bed. The warm, welcome, friendly hospitality continues from the owners and friendly local staff team in this family owned and operated country Hotel & Bistro. The tranquil rural setting is in seven and a half acres of landscaped gardens in the shadows of Ben Cruachan at the mouth of the historic Brander Pass in a sun drenched south facing wee Glen. The Hotel has 21 rooms all en-suite compiling a combination of singles in doubles, kingsize and a two roomed family room with a three bedroom Chalet in the front garden area. The superior downstairs rooms have french doors with a terrace to sit on weather permitting and direct access to our gardens and grounds, fresh espresso pod coffee machine, toweling robes and comfortable space. The Hotels internal renovation and refurbishment program is complete and there will be further additions of building with the added facilities of a 30 seat conference room, new reception entrance and 10 additional ensuite bedrooms late Winter early Spring 2016/17 as business permits, with minimal disruption to guests as it shall be completed in a cordoned off area. The exterior of the lodge has now a colonial veranda framing the approach elevation protecting guests from the Scottish weather those few times it is at its worst :-) and has extended car parking lit at night. Our Menu offers freshly prepared and locally sourced food where possible and portions are generous with a more homely nature, wholesome and hearty.

We stayed here November 12th and it was a great stay. We were booked to stay at Taychreggan Hotel nearby but got there and it was closed. The Brander Lodge was recommended to us and they had a room available. The owner David was wonderful and we were so thankful they had a room

We stayed for three nights in the family accommodation (two adjoining rooms) which was excellent. The hotel is a great location for touring the area and we were very impressed with the hospitality of everyone working in the lodge, along with the quality of the food. Would not

Thank you for taking the time to review your three day family stay in the Brander Lodge hotel. It is delightful when guests choose to take multi night breaks with us in our lovely rural setting. We are fortunate that it is central for branching out in various directions on day trips to take in the stunning scenery Argyll, and Scotland in general has to offer. We hope to see you in the future again. Kind regards David Keat

First of all, The Brander pulled out all the stops when it came to an emergency booking our end. We had originally booked a place in the area that basically scared us to stay but David, the owner helped alleviate the stress IMMEDIATELY and reserved the chalet for us. We could

Wow...Thank you for such a detailed and descriptive view and review of your stay with us at the Brander Lodge. It was our good fortune to have the opportunity to welcome you and restore your faith in Argyll Hospitality Venues. It was a delight for us to meet the three of you, a generational trio, amazing, Grandmother, Mother and Daughter. We thank you for choosing us, thank you for being the warm Texans you are, and thank you again for bringing your happiness in your stay into a review for others to share. We all look forward to another visit in the future and assure you of an equally hospitable and warm welcome. Sadly not dining internally that I know of. The issue is the amount of dogs being transported around and other guests that object to them. No one's dog is the only dog and often there will be a dog that doesn't accept others and the issue escalates. It would be advisable to leave your dog in the car whilst you eat albeit with the window down for air after giving it a toilet run around first. We originally had a house dog and cat and had to pass them onto out daughter due to guest objections so not everyone is pet friendly in a commercial environment and some people have health issues with pet allergies. Sorry I cannot be of any help. Our Hotel is closed for major re-development and renovations and due to past guest issues, the decor and financial investment we will not be accepting pets within the Hotel when we re-open. Kind regards David
