The staff give you a warm welcome on arrival and the rooms are of ample size. It's a little noises to sleep between 7pm and 9pm, but you are staying above a bar, so why sleep. The food in the place is amazing, I was chatting with locals from over 30 miles away when diving that stated they travel to... More

Four of us had dinner here and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The lamb shank, the fishcakes and the steak pie were all excellent. We will definitely be back (and in fact have already made arrangements to go ...)

The Horseshoe provided everything I want in a village inn. The bedroom was modest but comfortable and quiet. The electric shower was the best of its kind I have used, hot and with a good pressure. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. The WiFi signal was strong. The evening menu looked inviting, but we were being... More

Decided to go for dinner Saturday past.We had not been for a while and were not disappointed great choice of all three courses we had two starters and two mains but sadly only room for one pudding to share. The food is lovely and well cooked, the service was excellent. The portions are large which I'd forgotten about, Very reasonably priced.... More

My friend and I were cycling up towards Oban and stayed the night at this pleasant village Inn. As with all old Inns the room sizes are limited but mine was very comfortable, quiet and had all the little extras. A clearly popular place to eat, we booked an evening meal which was excellent, if a little slow in coming.... More

A great place off the beaten track. Visited for one night with 3 others on motorbikes. A lovely bar with a good selection of beer. The rooms are tidy and the beds comfortable. Slept like a log after 250 miles in the freezing cold on a bike. Very accommodating and the food was excellent.

Excellent place to stay a while. The food was outstanding with more than I could eat, all freshly cooked in the Inn. Breakfast was great with cold or hot full English available. Our room was upstairs on the front of the Inn with two single beds and a bathroom next door. Both rooms were spotlessly clean with plenty of fresh... More

Unprepossessing from the outside, we had a lovely meal in here one evening when staying locally in the area. Despite the fact that most of the village seemed to be in the public bar watching the Scotland rugby match we were met with a warm welcome and served quickly with some very tasty food. Certainly on my list of places... More

A great value place to stay. Clean rooms, great pub food, lovely real ale on tap, superb breakfasts, pub games etc. Overall a lovely atmosphere and friendly owners. We just wished this was our local pub!

We have visited twice in the past month and both times the dinner was excellent. The steak pie is awesome but you'll be lucky to finish it all, what a portion. The vegetables aren't an over cooked mush, they're perfect. The restaurant has been packed both times which is not surprising. Great starters, great mains and great desserts. We will... More
