We've just returned from a lovely break to celebrate our anniversary. Ardanaseig is a fairytale place next to beautiful Loch Awe. Fabulous traditional country house, we had the most gorgeous room and waking up to the view of the loch was amazing. The light across the water and surrounding mountains make for a stunning location. Friendly welcoming team of staff...

Had the most amazing time at the best wedding ever been to! Our experience was enhanced by the wonderful staff who went out of their way to make the day run smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble. Every whim catered for. Didn't want to leave. But hopefully won't be long before we return!

Booked to celebrate my wife's birthday and wow we weren't disappointed. The drive through Scotland was fantastic with many stops on route for photos. The hotel was well sign posted from the main road and we took the left turn at the pub. After 3 miles we arrived at Ardanaiseig and it's stunning. Dave checked us in and we soon...

From the start of the planning process through to the day after the wedding, everything was just perfect. Louise handled the planning of our wedding so well and the service by everyone...

Where do I start? The drive felt like "are we going to find this place?" Once you do, the place is kinda magical. It feels like this little place tucked far away from city life I'm used to, the campus is beautiful. We stopped here for 2 days on our way through the country and it is the most unique...

We were married in Ardanaiseig Hotel two years ago and returned this week for our anniversary. We really love this place with its enchanting surroundings and sense of remoteness that is reinforced by the long winding road that leads you to the estate. The food is absolutely magnificent and I would recommend the drive for the restaurant alone. Very friendly...

Just home from a night here with our friends. What a beautiful hotel with wonderful scenery. The bedrooms were large and gorgeous. Comfy beds and spotlessly clean. The service from the friendly staff was excellent and the food was amazing. Well done.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In a quiet place of undisturbed tranquility and almost surreal natural beauty, where the slopes of Ben Cruachan fall into the clear waters of loch Awe, lies a deeply romantic and luxurious old country house called Ardanaiseig. In a 19th-century manor house on 120 acres beside Loch Awe, this luxury hotel is 21 miles from the ruined Kilchurn Castle and 22 miles from Ben Cruachan. Elegant rooms offer loch or garden views and feature antique furnishings. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, tea and coffee making facilities, and designer Scottish toiletries. There is also a separate glass-fronted loch side Boatshed suite and a 2-bedroom cottage. An acclaimed restaurant serves upmarket, seasonal dishes. Full Scottish breakfast and afternoon tea are available, and other amenities include boat rentals, croquet and bikes. ... more   less
