It was a long drive to get here and I became so apprehensive on the way thinking whether I made a bad choice by picking this hotel. And then... We arrive to this most majestic location on a lake with 240 acres of land and a beautiful mansion. Dave greeted us at the door, toured the facility with us and... More

Without doubt, one of the nicest Hotels I have stayed in with a relaxed yet formal feel to it. Check-in was not the smoothest and bearing in mind they operate a 'late' check-in time of 3pm you would expect an Hotel of its obvious quality to be able to keep to this. One of our two rooms was ready 40... More

We understand why this has won Country House hotel of the Year. As you drive up to the front door, someone comes out to welcome you and take your bags. Our room wasn't quite ready, and so tea and scones were produced in the drawing-room overlooking the loch. Our room was very comfortable and, in keeping with the rest of... More

This was the best of the Inns that we stayed in during a week plus tour of Scotland. Everything about it was excellent. It started with the staff attitude and interest in accommodation and their guests enjoying there stay. Beautifully set and eclectically appointed this is a true gem not worth missing. Food was excellent, we started with high tea... More

My wife had stayed here 30 some years ago with her parents. We had to stay here on our family trip. Words can not describe this place. A cool old Manor house, amazing views and grounds, and an excellent restaurant. We had an amazing room. It was huge and had a great view of the grounds and lake. It was... More

We stayed and had wanted to do so for a long time. We were bitterly disappointed. In no way is this a luxury hotel. It is neglected by the greedy owner to a criminal degree. All the windows are rotten, the carpets need replacing, place is filled with tat masquerading as antiques. Staff are young and warm and friendly but... More

The road to Hotel from Taynuilt is specific for Scotland isolated area so path is just one way and you must go carefully about 10-15 km (about 30 minutes). Nice welcome from receptionist. The room was standard (garden view) but clean and enough comfortable for the design and style of hotel which looks to freeze the atmosphere of the end... More

As title, a beautiful place to stay, rambling grounds/garden and a cosy comfortable bedroom. Had a good meal too. Really restful and pleasant stay - just one night on the way up further north. Realistic price not too excessive for such a cute boutique hotel.

The hotel is a former country house in a secluded spot on the banks of Loch Awe. Food - excellent, after the nouvelle manner. Staff, pleasant. Room, good enough, and I think we had one of the smaller ones. A couple of quibbles - for this money (and we must have spent several hundred quid on one night / dinner... More

I had a confirmed booking via a travel agent (hotel.de) at Ardanaiseig. The hotel claimed that they had never received the booking from the agent and that they have no room for us. At a time, when in Scotland bookings are very tight, for us, this was a real desaster. Something like that has never happened to me before in... More
