In a quiet place of undisturbed tranquility and almost surreal natural beauty, where the slopes of Ben Cruachan fall into the clear waters of loch Awe, lies a deeply romantic and luxurious old country house called Ardanaiseig. In a 19th-century manor house on 120 acres beside Loch Awe, this luxury hotel is 21 miles from the ruined Kilchurn Castle and 22 miles from Ben Cruachan. Elegant rooms offer loch or garden views and feature antique furnishings. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, tea and coffee making facilities, and designer Scottish toiletries. There is also a separate glass-fronted loch side Boatshed suite and a 2-bedroom cottage. An acclaimed restaurant serves upmarket, seasonal dishes. Full Scottish breakfast and afternoon tea are available, and other amenities include boat rentals, croquet and bikes.

I booked this hotel as a treat for my husband. This was our first visit but hopefully not our last. If you are looking for a total chillout then this place will certainly do what it says on the tin. Staff couldn't do enough for you very friendly. The food was amazing including the breakfast. Only let down was the Scottish weather 😟 as it was set in beautiful grounds but unfortunately too wet to appreciate. We will certainly be back. Jean & Roger

Excellent hotel, room was comfortable and warm, beautiful roll top bath in middle of bathroom, all spotless, housekeeper is obviously one of the best. The waiting and bar staff were all friendly and attentive, I felt nothing was too much trouble, quality food in the restaurant and well presented. The hotel is old but well presented with the furnishings in keeping with the character of the building, Only downside was the rain but sadly no one can do anything about that!

We absolutely loved getting away to the quiet, quirky and quite remarkable Ardenasaig, even on a winter deal the place was superb, the service was brilliant, very friendly, Christine was chatty and quite informative. My favourite part of the stay was the double Bath with a view and the meal! Hats off to the chef, what an incredible meal, again quirky and different menu, catered well for vegetarians too (I'm not veggie but enjoy veggie menu). My other half had the slow roasted beef, I was quite envious it was absolutely mouthwatering 😍 we'd definitely go back, Outstanding views, very interesting history and scenery, privacy, just what we needed

My wife and I visited this wonderful hotel last weekend and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The Hotel is set in beautiful tranquil grounds which meet the shoreline of stunning Loch Awe and surrounding mountains. If you want to just relax and chill out then this is the place for you. We took our Jack Russell (£20) and so glad we did as there are many walks and places to explore within the grounds. Just perfect for a good walk out. Our room was excellent although a little bit on the cold side at times. Food was fantastic and very well presented each night as was the breakfast, however the dinner menu was a little repetitive and could be a problem if you were staying for longer than 4 nights. I also found the wine from the wine list and some of the bar drinks rather expensive as well. The staff are all very friendly but I think that David needs to lighten up a touch and be a little more sociable.

A fantastic over night stay on a wet and windy February Sunday. What a lovely old fashioned place. The service was second to none. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The breakfasts cooked to order. So cosy and peaceful, it was a step back in time.
