Very decent meal - good fish pie (no lobster/oysters available on the day); great scallops; acceptable good-value wines; great staff... will return. Well done Jura / Jura Hotel. Worth the stop-over sailing the Western Isles.

My wife and I stayed here 29th June to 2nd July. This is first opportunity I have had to write review of our visit. This is an unpretentious establishment which gives a warm welcome to all comers, whether it be walkers for a bar meal, locals for a beer, or weary travellers seeking a bed and food. The bedrooms are... More

My wife and I recently stayed for two nights in the Jura Hotel and found everything about the place very welcoming. The room was spacious with a large comfy bed and en-suite facility. No complaints whatsoever with the food in the restaurant and if you wanted something more lively then the bar provided that too. We were lucky with the... More

Arrived with my bicycle on the passenger ferry(recommended) from the mainland which takes you almost to the front door of the hotel, overlooking the bay, in one hour. This avoids having to travel via Islay. Weather was sunshine and showers. I cycled on the only road and tracks, walked over some very boggy ground and had a swim at Corran... More

We stayed in the hotel in July for the first time. The hotel is ideal if you are visiting Jura and the accommodation and food were well worth the trip. The staff could not be any nicer and treated us exceptionally well. The rooms were newly decorated and beautifully furnished .

Stayed for 1 night in a premier double room, room 10, the room is nice and big and the bathroom is lovely with a great big bath and a lovely shower. Very clean. I very rarely write reviews (just read them to check places out!) but felt that the Jura Hotel merited an exception. Got off to a great start in that booking was easy and room as requested (sea view) The menu was fairly comprehensive with a good range of specials - everything well cooked and presented and the staff were all...
