On arrival I thought the place seemed a little dated. When we got into the room found it spotless, the bed was comfortable and the view from our window was beautiful. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive to anything we wanted. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if I am... More

Fantastic food, great menu, cater for all food allergies. Staff friendly. Dog friendly bar area. Excellent location to tour Kintyre and Argyle Bute district, or just stay local and enjoy walks, beach, golf course etc .

We were on a short sailing holiday and had been recommended to take advantage of one of the moorings at Carradale. We then strolled up to the village looking for somewhere to book for dinner. The bar was closed but after discovering the hotel entrance were greeted by Tom who explained he was just getting ready to open up. We... More

We didn't stay at this hotel as we were visiting a relative in Carradale but we ate in the Cruban Bar & ended up popping in here at around 9.30pm! When we nipped in for food they told us that the bar stopped serving food at 9 but then said they were more than happy to cook us some food... More

Pleasant reception, except for a minor glitsch re our booking thro' Expedia which was sorted promptly and pleasantly. We were offered a clean, well furnished twin room with an excellent sea view over West Arran. Our 1st night dinner was OK but both of us were pretty convinced that the sourcing was doubtfull and was probably micro - waved catering industry... More

Excellent food. Had an American Burger which was excellent. Great rooms too. As we were walking the Kintyre Way, they even opened up an adjoining room to allow my friend to use the bath. Really hospitable. Thank you.

Stayed here with friends on a cycling trip. Fantastic food, beautifully presented, at a fraction of the price you'd pay for the same quality in Glasgow. The staff were extremely welcoming. A great trip, hope to visit again

I am continuously impressed by the food in this lovely family-run hotel. We were dining with another couple and with four young kids between us, it could have gone horribly wrong. However, thanks to great service, a varied menu and superb food, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for everyone. Even the burgers had the 'wow' factor. Highly recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review about 'the posh hotel'!! We pride ourselves on being child friendly with a separate 'Wee Ones Menu' and last year and this has seen our special burger menu being ever increasingly popular with locals and holiday makers alike. Hope to see you all again soon! More
