We stayed in the Stewart room and it was lovely with a great view. When we arrived, jet lagged and tired, Philip made us feel so welcome. He made us a pot of tea and it was SO appreciated. The room, the sleep, breakfast were just what we had hoped for. We ate at a small place about 5 minutes... More

Friendly greating when we arrived on bikes. Secure look up then bikes were brought out ready in am. Room clean, everything we needed. Good shower. Superb breakfast in beautiful dining room. Warm chatty hostess and we were made to feel very welcome. Large sitting room for guests. Owners clearly make an effort. What's not to like!

We only stayed for one night on our way home from a visit to the north of Scotland but this is such a wonderful place we wished that we had planned to stay longer. We spent the evening relaxing in front of the log fire in Allt-Na-Craig's absolutely superb sitting room. Our room was named Stewart; it's at the front... More

Travelled up from Manchester so after 6 hours drive, this place was a welcome stay - stunning location of which we fell in love with straight away. The house is gorgeous and well maintained. It is the little touches of having a history of the place in your welcome pack through to the lounge where you can sit by the... More

Stayed on a weekday, late arrival. Warm welcome and local advice very useful for getting a late meal. The Grey Gull only a short distance away. Room comfortable with all amenities. Breakfast choice excellent. Would definitely recommend and return. 😊

A lovely old house and nice people doing their very best but our nights sleep was spoilt by uncomfortable pillows. I does say in welcome pack to ask but wr were in bed by then. Also tea cups in rooms are tiny. A mug would be nice. I sprung my peculiar eating requirements on them without notice and they did... More

This was my first stay at Allt-Na-Craig and I would not hesitate to go back. Throughout my stay (new owners) Caroline and Philip were welcoming, friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble!. I would highly recommend the Stornoway Black Pudding for breakfast- Philip is a very good cook and the hearty breakfast provided was the perfect start to anyone's... More

Highly recommended! Very welcoming couple, who gave great advice about what to see in the area and where we could eat. The house is in a very peaceful location with stunning views. Coming home in the evening to a roaring fire was such a treat. Delicious breakfast also. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I have now stayed overnight on three occasions. Spacious and clean rooms. The owners are welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast. The only place to stay in Lochgilphead. This is a beautiful part of the world and the hotel has great views down the Loch.
