I use the Gull 4 or 5 times a year when travelling for work. It's not 5 star, but its not 5 star prices. Good honest hotel, comfortable, decent food, great fresh cooked breakfast and good value. When I was there last week I noticed that some of the rooms have been upgraded - good to see they are keeping... More

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel at the end of our holiday in Scotland (originally just planned to stay 2 nights but our room and the surrounding area tempted us for another night). Hotel maybe on bit of old - fashioned side but we were delighted with our spacious, modern furnished room with lovely view across the road... More

Wasn't quite sure what to expect when we arrived, but pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had a bowl of lasagne which was really tasty and my colleague had the sea food pasta which was equally as good. The views across the loch were stunning and if you are looking for somewhere with stunning views in the... More

We booked into this hotel over the weekend as we were attending a wedding nearby. A friendly welcome at first. The room was clean and nice enough. Just maybe needs a bath mat inside the shower as it was a little slippery and our door at night kept banging occasionally to the point we had to sit a chair against... More

Friendly staff and we were warmly welcomed on arrival. We had a good sized room overlooking the Loch and enjoyed sitting in the bay window watching the world go by. Breakfast was reasonably good with decent choice from Kippers to a full Scottish Breakfast. The only real downside was a slightly damp smelling bathroom (with no windows) which was lacking... More

Meal average. How ever I can now see why, as on a trip to Oban on the following day I saw the proprietor in the Gray Gull van Parked in Farm Foods with a trolly load of frozen goods Very disappointed as there is a vast range of fresh Scottish produce locally

This was quite an old fashioned hotel with no bar are as such to sit in after the restaurant closed. However, restaurant was excellent as was breakfast - freshly cooked to order including porridge and kippers. Although the the room was old fashioned it did have one big advantage over many modern hotels which was lighting. Room was well lit... More

Very good meal ,reasonably priced. Would certainly return. Only negative - it was a very hot day all windows were closed and there was no air conditioning. However the waitress did open the fire exit which helped.

Very warm welcome when we cycled to ardrishaig. Lovely room with good facilities and nicely decorated with attractive prints on walls throughout inn. Good food, very pleasant and helpful staff. Fabulous view and well positioned at end of Crinan canal. Even safe storage for bikes.
