Yet another delicious dinner at the family run Moorfield hotel. The owners deliberately keep numbers low to ensure smooth service so book ahead. We all enjoyed beautifully fresh cooked food. We will definately be back.

I recently visited the Moorfield hotel for the first time whilst staying in Braemar. The fire was a warm welcome from the cold of winter. Our barman / proprietor Grant gave us a wonderful welcome and I was really impressed by the range of beers and whiskies. We didn't get a chance to stay for food but the food we...

We stayed here for 2 nights and thought this hotel was really great value for money. The bedrooms and communal areas are very nicely decorated with lots of attention to detail in a modern/Scottish style, very tasteful and definitely not tacky! We were immediately met with a warm welcome and shown round the facilities and our room which was cosy,...

Our second visit to the bar and as before delighted with all aspects of our visit. We tried all three of the local Persie Gin!!!! spoke to the owner, he can only be described as a gentleman. On our next visit we hope too go for a meal.

We liked this hotel. The staff were friendly, and the hotel looks out at a sports field, where we heard there were some highland games the week before. The elderly lady who stayed in the room before us spent most of the time watching the games out the window. There's a nice bar that my husband spent quite a bit...

What a place!. Stayed here for a weekend with friends, Grant and Maria were wonderful hosts ,immediately made us feel at home, felt like I had known them for years when I left. Hotel is beautifully presented in similar surroundings, well stocked bar (amazing Whiskeys) fantastic food in the restaurant. Already booked in for a return trip. Fantastic.

I recently visited the Moorfield House Hotel for a reunion with old friends and right from the start I was blown away. The village itself is very picturesque and the hotel is situated right next to the grounds for the highland games. Once inside I found that the hotel had been recently renovated and to a high standard. Everything looked...

I have stayed in many large hotel chains recently, but it's only when you decide to book in to a family run business do you realise what you miss out on. Having informed the hotel I would be arriving late I could not have been welcomed any more than I was, with a roaring log-fire, family atmosphere and a beautiful...

I stayed at Moorfield House Hotel for a weekend and had a brilliant time. Some of the best food I've ever eaten (especially the Sea Salt Caramel Cookie Crumble!), a cosy bar with wood-burning stove, Sky Sports, a very clean and comfortable room... but perhaps most importantly, superb service from a very welcoming team. The location, overlooking the Highland Games...
