As a local went along to the 'Livie Inn' as we heard it had been renovated, previous experience of dining here had been pretty average. I must say the place was looking good. Had a drink and the lad at the bar was very accommodating. My wife enquired if there was a table available for food and was advised that... More

Attended last night's reopening - what a difference! The place is looking fabulous, the menu looks great and the snacks served last night certainly got my appetite going! Can't wait to go back and try out the real thing.

Eight of us went for Christmas lunch today and it was lovely. Great duck pate starter and lovely displayed melon. The main course was delicious and huge servings. The traditional Turkey dinner looked so tasty , vegetables were cooked to perfection and the clean plates proved that. I had the beef which was accompanied with a rich gravy and tasty... More

We stayed at the Livingston Inn for almost a week and found the service fantastic. We hosted a dinner for 43 people and Sarah was very helpful and patient with the numbers changing many times! The food was great! Andrew greeted us when we arrived and we were made to feel very welcome. This continued during our entire stay. The... More

The rooms were standard the beds were very comfortable. I can't say enough good comments about the service and staff. The food at the pub was quality at a great price and breakfast included in the cost. We will definitely stay again.

I stayed for one night during a hiking trip. It took a while to find someone, but I was then warmly welcomed and given room 7. This is a bright, spacious corner room with a good bathroom. The bed is very comfortable and large. Two small negatives; its at the end of the building so wifi is intermittent, and the... More

The Inn is a old listed building were the rooms vary from single to double rooms, no twin rooms available, As the building is listed we have not been able to increase any of the rooms sizes however we feel the rooms are adequate in size and are a bargain at £50 per night including breakfast. All rooms have ensuite within time along with TV's and are all very comfortable.
