Spent an overnight at Cuil Lodge on our way to the Isle of Harris. Perfect location to catch the morning ferry. Having driven for several hours it was great to receive a warm welcome from Sandy. On arrival we were greeted with a pot of tea and delicious home baking. Our room was immaculate with a lovely view across the... More

It's a big call - best B&B ever! Have stayed in many and this is by far the most fabulous! Sandy and Margaret spent a long time searching for the perfect bed and offering the best quality breakfast, and they have achieved it! Everything in the room and in the lodge is perfectly planned and placed, right to the brand... More

There are no negatives applicable to this place. The area is quiet, but just a short walk to town and a quick drive to the ferry. The room was beautiful, spotless, and quiet. The hosts suggested some great walks and were able to fill us in on some of the local history.. The breakfast was wonderful, with lots of choices... More

I can't praise this small B&B enough. If you want to stay in the northern part of the Isle of Skye I don't think you can do better. It's also a pleasant location for folks that want to take the Uig ferry to or from the Outer Hebrides. Sandy and Margaret paid attention to every detail, whether in the rooms... More

Margaret and Sandy could not have been more helpful and friendly. The accommodation was perfect for our stay - comfortable and homely whilst being of the highest quality, with lovely touches such as bath robes and delicious treats of the home-baked kind.......

We have travelled and stayed in excellent B&Bs around the world and yet were blown away by this one! The location could not be better for anything you want to do in Skye or as a spot to stay if you want to use the Ferry. We stayed 4 nights and would have loved to have stayed more. As others... We stayed in the 'Sleat' room for 2 nights and were so happy that we chose to stay here. Margaret and Sandy are impeccable hosts and have put a lot of care and attention to their establishment. When walking to our room we saw the other rooms that looked great too. We were also treated to tea and homemade cake... More

This is B&B at its very best. Sandy and Margaret manage to be warm and friendly without creating that sense so common in small B&Bs that it's all so intimate and homely that you are intruding just a little. We never felt like that ; instead our stay was completely relaxing. Their attention to detail was faultless and they are... More

We were the last group before they shut for winter in 2015. Place was so warm and welcoming it felt like we were visiting a nice uncle and aunty! Absolutely loved staying here. The suggestions Sandy gave for the rest of our trip in Skye were also invaluable
