We arrived after a long drive from fort William through rain and wild winds. Skye was teeming with rain and wind. The whole house shook and I thought the place would blow down. Not the best intro to The highlands. Our hosts were very welcoming and the room was outstanding. Eventually the wind calmed down and so did I! Betty... More

They have some of the thickest down comforters I have ever seen! Bed was very comfy. Started to rain in the night and the skylight in the bathroom was quite loud but once we closed the bathroom door you couldn't hear a thing. Two miles out on a one track road from town. Watch out for the sheep!

Stayed one night but wished we stayed longer. Betty welcomed us warmly and was full of information and advice, about restaurants and places to go, when we enquired. The breakfast was extensive and very tasty. Willie kept us occupied with tales of his life at sea and on Skye. Overall - a lovely stay.

Could only spend one night in this lovely bed and breakfast. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, the accommodation was spotless and comfortable and breakfast included fresh fruit and high-quality produce, perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, we could not stay for what appeared to be an excellent evening meal. Hallaig is located on the northeast of Skye in a wilder part... More

Betty and Willie are wonderful host. Betty is a great cook - we love everything that was served for breakfast, dinner and dessert - and the home baked cookies left in the bedroom. The attention to details is impeccable. :) The room is spacious and the house is clean, cosy and modern. The bathrooms are spotless. Our window look out... More

The hallaig guest house is a cosy and absolute perfect place for all travellers who like nature and a warm familiar atmosphere. We felt very welcome at betty's and willy's house and enjoyed the talks and the food there. The room was very clean and modern. We think this is the most perfect place for a stay at isle of... More

We were given a warm welcome by both Betty and Willie and shown to spotlessly clean and tidy rooms. There was shortbread in the room made by Betty's own fair hands, delightful. Betty recommended a place to eat in the village, (the Columba 1400 hostel restaurant) we would have gone hungry left to our own devices as Staffin is a... More
