This hotel is centrally located on the Isle of Skye and close to a lot of wonderful hiking. The accommodations are clean and basic. Our experiences with the front desk staff was mixed. They seem over worked and some seemed to just try to rush us through. We were pushed toward the bar/tavern for dinner because we had older children... More

Lovely Hotel with beautiful views. We got married on the bridge just outside the hotel which was just magical and the staff and management were so helpful and lovely ! Would recommend this hotel and want to thank the management and staff for making our short stay special!

Turned up wet, muddy & tired! Super friendly welcome, even dripping water on the reception carpet, the staff were inviting. Awesome hot shower, nice clean & comfy rooms. Food in bar was perfect for a day after an epic day in the hills. Service friendly & down to earth. Every time we have visited each year in the past two... More

My daughter and I had a lovely room on the 1st floor (2nd for Americans) and were quite comfortable. The adjoining bar, "Seumas' Bar" was lively with a nice menu and wonderful staff. Despite everything that is said about the internet, don't count on it. Just tell your loved ones and business associates that you will be incommunicado while in... More

Nice pub with a limited range of slightly overpriced food. I say limited as, unfortunately, the same menu is offered all day and evening so it was a little boring when we went there for dinner, having previously been for lunch. It was welcome though as there is very little else in the area. My husband was in heaven with... More

Called in during our holiday with the intentions of having a relaxing evening meal. On perusing the menu we found it to be full of average dishes at extortionate prices. Deciding not to eat, we instead ordered a couple of drinks at the bar - which were also the highest priced drinks we found on the entire island. Asking for... More

My friends and I stopped there on our drive up to Lewis from Glasgow. It was a nice stop with pool tables and places for sitting/eating. The food was overall a good experience with nice seafood. We got fish and chips, haggis, and the mussel appetizer. The seafood was fresh, well prepared, and large portions. It was a good deal... More

This is a hotel / pub in a remote area which caters for walkers, climbers, caravanners, campers. As it has a monopoly it can survive very well with average food at rather expensive prices. It was very busy when we went (a rainy Saturday night in mid August) with people who had obviously been walking or climbing. It also serves... More

Stayed one night and loved it. Beware: dont wait to find a room on skye, on our drive around not one vacancy sign was seen. Whole island sold out and this was sept. Front desk staff were awesome and made arrangements for my elderly father and showed up early to check us out This hotel is older. But perfect location... More

We stayed at the Sligachan Hotel back in the 80s, before the bridge at Kyle was built. It has been expanded and updated, but it's still an oasis in the wilds of the Cuillens. It's hard to imagine a more picturesque location. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfasts were good, and we had dinner in the lounge bar... More
