The room was moderate in size but to our surprise no TV. Guess we should have read up on it a little. There is a restaurant and a pub. The restaurant has a set menu for dinner (2 or 3 course) and although more than we could eat my wife thought it was the best rack of lamb she has... More

We stayed at Eilean Iarmain for a night over Easter in one of the cottages set a little distance away from the main hotel. The location was amazing, a beautiful peaceful setting in Sleat. The cottage overlooks the sea, with a small plain sitting room downstairs and a cute cottage style bedroom upstairs. There seemed to be cottages with larger... More

I am only reviewing the bar since we did not stay at the hotel. We didn't eat at the restaurant either since it was closed the day we were there. But we had a very good meal in the pub. One of the bartenders (unfortunately I did not get his name) was very knowledgeable on the whisky selections available and... More

After a week in Harris, my fiancée had booked our group of seven in to the Hotel for a night before our onward journey back down to Glasgow Airport. Firstly the whiskey tasting at the local shop on-site was a huge bonus, as was the Harris Tweed shop which both damaged the wallet. I bought a superb tailored jacket (I'd... More

This is a quaint Hotel friendly atmosphere We visited with a small group doing a backroads tour. One problem we found was there were no lifts which is difficult of older people with suitcases, and not always porterage available.Bar area was popular and seemed to be frequented by locals which was nice

Thank you for your kind review. Hotel Eilean Iarmain buildings date back to 1888 and has immense character with thick stone walls, low ceilings and narrow doorways. In keeping with the traditional look of the hotel we do not have lifts available however do have special access with limited facilities at the moment. Our staff here are always happy to... More

We stayed here two nights while we visited The Isle Of a Sky. Lovely two story room with sitting area downstairs and bedroom upstairs. The view outside of the bay is beautiful and very relaxing to sit and watch the water. We ate fish n chips and hard cider both nights in the bar for dinner! Very quick and relaxing... More

Great accommodation. Good breakfast. Great bar food. Excellent dinner. Very comfortable bedrooms with nice beds and linen. Delightful sitting room. The bar is great fun - we had a live group,on the Saturday night and the folk club on Sunday. Ask for a room in the main hotel - book for dinner as it can get busy - and try... More

We spent two nights at this quaint hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the service was second to none. Beautiful surroundings peaceful and idyllic. The restaurant food was of amazing quality with a comprehensive menu. The attached bar had a music afternoon on the Sunday and was well worth returning from sight seeing early enough to participate. The whole... More

Very nice hotel with fabulous views of the harbor. Our rooms were comfortable and the living room was a cozy place to converse and meet other travelers. The included breakfast was very good and came in a timely manner.
