We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Arriving on a rainy day we instantly felt welcome and the room was wonderfully cozy. The room was very well equipped, with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities, delicious biscuits :). The bathroom felt newly done. The hosts couldn't have been nicer. Every evening the hosts took our breakfast order, and I must say... More

This is not your ornery B and B. A lovely and helpful welcome with home made whisky cake, scrupulously clean comfy rooms and breakfast of the highest quality with superb local produce and the best sausages I've had for ages. And before you arrive they send you a mini brochure/ breakdown about Skye which is truly informative and a real... More

Alan and Julia, the hosts make the stay exceptional with their friendly and warm attitude. The place is clean, nice very cosy, it feels like home. Enjoyed staying here during a couple of cold summer days in Skye. Make sure to book Old School restaurant while staying here.

We spent two nights in this delightful B&B. Contemporary decor, extremely clean and comfortable. A pleasant residents lounge with books and maps aplenty. An excellent choice of breakfast, recommend the porridge, but everything was of a good standard.

We booked for one night, and ten minutes after getting here made it three, partly because we had the unexpected bonus of perfect weather, actual and promised, but mostly because it was perfect for us : welcoming, spacious, comfortable, soothing, excellent hosts, strategic location, catering all you'd ask of a B&B.

House was really easy to find and in a lovely setting. On arrival, we were shown to our very spacious room which was warm and comfortable. The B&B is run by a very pleasant man and his lovely wife who incidentally makes THE BEST pancakes ever. There was no TV in our room which was nice to be honest. Lots... More

Roskhill House is a renovated croft house. My only disappointment was that some of the charm of the original house has been lost in the renovation. We almost felt as if we were staying in a motel. Breakfast and afternoon tea were a real highlight, superb choice and ingredients. The host and hostess were surprisingly less familiar with the local... More

The previous review to yours is headed “Authentic Excellence”. The interior of croft houses never were “quaint”. Some understanding of the social and economic history of the Highlands and Islands might have been useful before writing the review. Roskhill House is a very very early “white house” type of working croft house and was built around 1890 after the Napier... More

Alan and Julia look after this beautifully renovated typical whitewashed Skye house with immaculate taste and eye for detail. Our room was downstairs, three windows, so light and airy. Immaculately clean, beautifully dressed with a small fridge with fresh milk and water, daily. The bathroom was big enough, local toiletries, fluffy white Towels and spotless. The breakfast menu is to... More

We stayed with Alan and Julia for three nights and it was a great base from which to explore Skye. Very good breakfasts, a nice room en suite, and Alan and Julia were very friendly. We also ordered packed lunches for our walking and this was very helpful along with a clever system of ordering breakfast the night before to... More
