I loved this hotel. Check in was a breeze and included a glass of sherry. The location was outstanding: right next to the water. I really enjoyed sipping my sherry and looking out at the amazing view. My room was spacious, too.

We stayed two nights at this charming hotel situated right on the harbour in Portree. The room was cozy and there was no traffic noise, but I'd recommend a room on one of the upper floors to avoid the noise when another hotel patron comes in at late hours, as this is a converted fisherman's cottage with little noise proofing...

As I booked two nights on the Isle of Skye rather spontaneously, there were not many options for lodging. After reading the reviews of the Rosedale Hotel, I thought I was picking the best of the few options and given some of the negative feedback, I wasn't really looking forward to this experience but in the end, I had a...

The hotel is an absolute warren, which gives it real character. Our room looked out over the harbour, which has plenty of visitors and attractions but was - happily - quiet at night. Staff very friendly and professional, service excellent, the room extremely comfortable. We had exepcted a restaurant in the evening here, but it had closed (had been operated...

The staff are very friendly from the off, you get a wee dram on arrival and some tablet (lush) so nice after a long drive. The room is very nice with an en-suite and a great view out over the water. I slept very well in a comfortable bed and got up to a delicious breakfast with some fantastic Stornoway...

The location of this hotel is great ... right on the water , over looking the small harbor and the colorful houses on the street close to it ... but that was the best of the experience . The hotel reminded me a home for the elderly ... dark colors bad lighting , ridiculous stairs every where and the room...

The Rosedale Hotel is one of the iconic buildings facing the harbor in Portree. It's a charming hotel and the staff is very friendly. No lifts (no hotel we stayed at in the Highlands had one) so be prepared to lug your bags. Parking can be an issue, as well. But the VIEW! Just perfect!

This hotel is right on the water in Portree. Our room overlooked the harbor. The hotel itself is a bit of a maze, but it made getting to breakfast an interesting experience. The food was very good. The hotel lounge was excellent; it was the only room with wi-fi for guests, which meant that at the end of the day,...

Room was comfortable and quaint, with good linens and a fairly comfortable bed. Surprisingly good water pressure and hot water. Restaurant closed to public at the time of our stay, however, breakfast still served to guests. Breakfast was good, but nothing special. I did try the black pudding which was pretty good! We were part of a tour so parking...

I stayed for 2 nights for business and found the parking rather daunting also the fact that the hotel does not serve meals was not good as I had to go out for something. Due to the distance for parking if it was wet and windy having to go for your car in the morning would be a bad start...
