I stayed for 2 nights for business and found the parking rather daunting also the fact that the hotel does not serve meals was not good as I had to go out for something. Due to the distance for parking if it was wet and windy having to go for your car in the morning would be a bad start... More

We spent two nights in the Rosedale Hotel, and had a nice room with a lovely view over the harbour. However, the receptionist was not very friendly or helpful. There was no Wifi during our visit, and she was quite defensive about it. She told us that we would be able to access the building via a door near our... More

I stayed at this hotel whilst on business for 3 nights. Parking outside the hotel is very limited and it was very busy so I parked elsewhere and made my way to the hotel from there. Whiskey and tablet were provided at check-in. It was a nice touch but would have been nice to have a local whiskey rather than... More

The hotel is well located in Portree just in the little harbour and a few walk away from the main street and restaurants plus supermarkets. It would help to have more parking spaces for guests' cars (just a few next to the hotel). The room was confortable and clean, tea/coffee/biscuits offered in the room. Staff was nice and welcoming, they... More

This is a lovely quaint hotel and it is situated right on the harbour. It's lovely to take in the views of the water before you settle in for the night. The rooms are small but you have everything you could possibly need and the staff are lovely.

Its location directly at the Harbour makes the hotel unique. We unfortunately had a room without view, but that was completely fair as it was told us before (we were there during Highland Games, and thus happy to get a room at all). Reception service was a little bit mixed, some were extremely nice and helpful (such as the lady... More

We arrived by train and no rooms available because of Highland games but thanks to a kind fellow traveler and wonderful Wendy at the tourist office she found us a room at the Rosedale hotel. The receptionist was so nice instead of one night she phoned her boss and arranged for a two night stay The following day Wendy arranged... More

Very nice to be welcomed with a whisky & a lump of delicious tablet & our room (4) was enormous, comfortable & with a four-poster bed, two televisions & a small sitting area. The only downside was the very small windows. The hotel is full of stairs & corners; very confusing finding the way around at first. It was fairly... More

My hopes were raised by the particularly friendly and welcoming reception staff and the dram of whisky. I had booked a single non sea view room. I did not expect it to be as small and as noisy as it was- the latter due to the fact that it faces some sort of pedestrian walkway. My main complaint was the... More

Comfortable hotel with great position overlooking the harbour. Restaurant was very cozy, good service, and food was of a high quality. Car parking available but a little tight and can easily get blocked in. Overall good value and a good place to stay in Portee.
