We could not have enjoyed our 3 night stay more! We had a room with a king bed, small sitting area and capacious bath. With a view overlooking south end of Portree harbor and the outer islands beyond. The McLeods are warm, friendly people and run a very clean, tidy guest home. Breakfasts were superb as well. Being outside of...

This was a very nice and cozy place. The room was large and nice and the breakfast were made to order and tasty. Best of all was the view that was unbeatable, especially on what turned into a rainy day. I would give this great place a strong 4 rating.

We stayed at An Airhid for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the moment we arrived to the warmest of welcomes from Hamie to when we left we loved every minute of our stay. Warm clean comfortable rooms with plenty of hot water and a bath as well as a shower which is much appreciated when travelling on a...

I can echo the recent review of the B&B and specifically the single room. The place is great - clean and welcoming with lovely hosts. 15 minute walk into town along the main road. The views are beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. The single room faces the front entrance, but they are very clear about that when you book....

We ended up staying here three nights. Everything was perfect. The rooms were great - really comfortable beds with superior bedding and pillows - and spacious. The views both from the rooms and the breakfast room/lounge were stunning. And the breakfasts! Alex and his family were superb hosts; nothing was too much trouble and the catering was excellent, whatever your...

The accommodation was big spacious with lovely decoration! The beds were so comfy I wish I could bring them home. You have two options for breakfast: Omelette or Scottish breakfast. The latter was delicious. There's also a variety of yogurt and cereal for you to choose from. The host was very smiley. She even remembered what I ordered for breakfast...

I stayed here for two nights. It's clean and comfortable, about 15-20 mins leisurely walk into the centre of Portree, and the hosts are friendly, helpful and kind, in particular Alex for whom nothing seems too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely, and in particular the cooked breakfast was excellent: freshly prepared, hot and delicious. The cold offerings were the...

I spent four wonderful days in Skye. An Airidh was the perfect place to stay on the isle. It was a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of hiking. The bed was very soft and welcoming. The view was fantastic. The owners are wonderful. They make a great breakfast! They were always so friendly and helpful.

If you are visiting Isle of Skye, An Airidh is THE place to stay. We loved every moment of our time with Catherine and Hamie Macleod, our proprietors. We were treated like family, the views were stunning, the rooms were enchanting, the breakfast was delicious and satisfying, and it is located a short walk to and from Portree. The Macleods,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An-Airidh is a family run bed & breakfast refurbished for 2016 season. The Macleod's of Fisherfield offer guests from around the world highland hospitality for 40 years and counting from the site of our old croft. The scene was idyllic, glorious sunshine, calm sea and the surrounding hills reflected in its browns greens and purples. The place was Fisherfield on the shore of Loch Portree in the beautiful Island of Skye. An-Airidh is set near the shore of loch Portree overlooking the bay towards Ben Tianavaig and Raasay; An-Airidh is an excellent base for exploring Skye. 5 minutes from the Aros Heritage Centre. 10 minutes walking to centre of Portree. All rooms are en-suite with hairdryers, bedrooms offer flat screen TVs, fridges, tea & coffee making facilities and stunning views, also An-Airidh offers free Wi-Fi, large guest lounge overlooking Loch Portree. An-Airidh in 2016 is now being passed down to the next generation and Alex Macleod now operates the business although, he still gets help from his parents who are not able to give up the hospitality bug quite yet. ... more   less
