The management saved the day at the Kings Arms. They were very helpful - but the rooms need updating. A serviceable hotel but with small dated rooms and priced like a Glasgow or Edinburgh hotel with refurbished rooms. A great location, easily accessible - we arrived by short taxi from Kyle Lochalsh. We enjoyed the view from the bridge at... More

The exterior looks nice enough and there is a great view from the front door. But the interior is a different story. This place has not been painted or received new carpet since the 1970's. The carpet were threadbare, (Not and exaggeration). The front desk staff were efficient, but not friendly. It did not seem like they cared if we... More

My husband, myself and adult son shared a triple room at the Kings Arms Hotel for 2 nights in July. It caters for mainly coach parties but as accommodation on Skye is limited in July I had to make a reservation as it was the only place that could offer accommodation for 3 people the 2 nights we required. I... More

We had 2 nights here and the location is just excellent over the Isle Of Skye bridge and by the sea. A well equipped hotel with reasonably priced rooms, excellent dining room, breakfasts provided and a bar with a terrific lounge area and wi-fi. We used this hotel to take day trips into the Highlands and found it a good... More

Absolutely terrible!!! Should be shut down for that trash they call food. Very slow table service even though it was very quiet. Served off meat, foreign brown jelly slime on beef burgers with a foul taste/smell. Veggies get served bacon on their order, When told it was the wrong order bacon had clearly been picked off and cold soggy tomatoes... More

I spent one night at the Kings Arms during a two day jaunt to Skye. Check in was quick and easy and my room was comfortable and worth the very reasonable price. Instead of sitting in the residents bar, that was rather quiet, I chose to have a drink in the public bar. There was some great conversations with the... More

I have zero understanding in what year someone gave this hotel a three star rating. Our first room overlooked the car park and tourist buses. The reception agent did agree to move us to a room overlooking the water - but this second floor room had a tiny window. We stayed simply because the layout of the three single beds... More

Kings Arms Hotel is the worst hotel I've ever been to! Our room was dirty, with spiders, smelling disgusting and so dusty that I got an asthma attack after 10 minutes sitting there. We went to the reception, told them in a friendly way that I need a different room because I have an allergy against something in the room.... More

As other reviewers are commenting; the hotel is ready for an upgrade. Floors and corridors are well worn and like small valleys. However, we do not mind, assuming this can be considered as a historic hotel (?). The main objective of an hotel is to give you a good nigh sleep. Our beds were so hard that we hardly got... More

This is an old, dated hotel that lacks character & amenity. It served our purpose for a quick overnight. We missed out on a decent breakfast because the staff was tending to a group of 100, so settled for coffee & toast after some words with the waitress. We had a tour booked & needed to meet that schedule.
