We chose Glengorm Castle for two nights on our 30th anniversary trip, because we had stayed here 10 years ago and hoped it had remained as special as we remembered. Happily, it is, and then some. It is truly a castle but, at the same time, it is a warm and inviting home. We were treated so well by all... More

My wife and I recently stayed two nights at Glengorm Castle while vacationing in Scotland. We arrived at Glengorm late afternoon having driven from Advasar, Isle of Skye via Malling and Kilchoan to Tobermory (including two ferry crossings) then along the single track road to Glengorm guided all the way by our GPS. Some reviews have expressed concerns about the... More

We didn't actually stay at the castle but visited for the day and used their cafe/restaurant. It's worth the drive just for the coffee! The best we found on Mull. We also had lunch which was excellent, and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful - what more could you want?!

only stayed for 1 night 15th September. approx 5 miles up a road and track from Tobermory but views on route spectacular. On arrival met by Pam who showed us around the hotel. we had a room overlooking the lawns and outlook to the bay. Wonderful! The ambiance was a little like Downton Abbey. A grand selection of whiskeys available... More

It was a long and convoluted way to get there: Stupidly we had failed to make a reservation for the Oban/Craignure ferry crossing and, after much consideration, decided to drive round to Lochline (2h) to catch the ferry from there to Fishnish. It wasn't too bad as the road is beautiful and the drive was very pleasant. We eventually made... More

Takes awhile to reach the castle via narrow roads, minimal signage and undulations in the pavement plus negotiating passing cars, trucks, vans etc. BUT the castle has brilliant position overlooking the waterway, neighbour island areas, the sheep and cattle ultra green fields. Picture perfect! Walking tracks are readily available for the adventurer and a coffee shop is a short distance.... More

Unbelievable 3 level maisonette with fireplaces, Large bathroom and overall enchanting. A true manor house/castle experience but very casual. Great fun. The omelette at breakfast was the best I've ever had, the rooms were spacious and the furnishings and details were beautiful. Wish we had stayed a week

My GF and I spent three nights in the Laorin room in August and had a fabulous time. The property is stunning with views of fantastic scenery and excellent trails that go through farm land before leading you to the water. Although more like a country estate than a castle, the common areas are beautiful - dining room and reading... More

Where to begin..... The amazing dining room where breakfast was served? Straight from Downton Abbey, with full Scottish breakfast made to order and marmalades made on the estate. The whiskey room, with 20+ of the finest Scottish whiskeys and layout of a old school gentlemen's club? The room itself, large and beautifully appointed, with bed and sheets that you would... More
