What a fantastic village to stay in and great facilities. Brilliant idea to add bunk rooms to the hall. Had a really good nights sleep, great kitchen facilities, decent shower, nice little lounge with good information including a brilliant recommended walk from the village to Quinish Point. Absolutely loved my stay here, would be back in a shot!

Had a one night stay here with some friends. The room was very nice with a clean bathroom. Absolutely did the job for us. Booking process was smooth and the keys were left ready for us. Shower was hot and efficient, only comment would be that as the bathroom is a wet room, it would be helpful if there was... More

We are five students from Strathclyde Uni and visited the village on May of 2014. It was a very good trip in Mull, especially in this cost effective hostel. The staff was friendly and £16 per person is a really good price for us. we also came across the badminton day during our visit, I had a good chat with... More

At arrival we were a bit dissapointed and surprised because the place was open (every door unlocked) and there was no one, our room was not ready. We had to call to some numbers that were written at the door and we left Dervaid to visit other places (despite the weather was horrible) and hoping that everything will be sorted... More

We had a pleasant stay in this bunkhouse.Essentially, you are entrusted with the keys to the village bunkhouse building and left to get on with your own affairs, which suited us. It is very clean, has a well-equipped kitchen, lounge with DVD player (no TV reception) and the added bonus of free use of the badminton court. There is a characterful pub and shop nearby... More

My girlfriend and I have recently had an enjoyable stay at the bunkrooms. We were fortunate in that of the two rooms available, we were the only ones staying in our room (there were four bunkbeds so could sleep 8). There was a clean shower and toilet located in the room itself as well as toilet facilities outside the room... More

My view may be influenced by the fact that when I was there, it was January, and I was the only one at the bunkhouse. But in my experience this was a comfortable accommodation for backpacking, and while it's certainly nothing fancy, the price is definitely right and is probably better than you'll find anywhere else around this part of...
