Small hotel in a very scenic location. I had a small single room which was comfortable enough for me. The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff were excellent. With no television or radio the view from the lounge window was superb. Handily located for trips to Iona and Staffa and a trip to the Treshnish islands is not to... More

Somewhat belated review, and I note the yurt is currently unavailable but thought it would be worth a review anyway! Had an excellent visit to the yurt, greeted by a friendly dog and an equally friendly owner. The yurt was well appointed and pretty luxurious for a night under canvas. The breakfast provided in the hotel was excellent. Yurt guests... More

I stayed here for five days as part of a photography tour. The staff went out of their way to assist us. Nothing seemed too much trouble. OK my single room was not huge, but it's en suite and quite sufficient for a single person. There is neither TV or radio in the bedrooms which somehow befits the quiet, rural... More

Stayed here 2 nights. Beautiful setting, lovely outlook. But rooms are small (bit like being in a small chalet / alpine lodge), lovely food. About 2 miles from nearest pub / restaurant for alternative eating place.

We came in early July for a family holiday with two grannies, a crawling one-year-old, and parents. We could not have hoped for a better holiday. We had the most wonderful food, clean rooms and wonderful time in the sitting area and nearby beach. Very welcoming to us all and we are especially grateful as we had come a long... More

I first came to stay in Ardachy two years ago, and i have returned every summer since (and a few springs too). I'll start with the hotel: Comfortable, very clean rooms, with great views, 5 mins from (the most amazing) beach. The staff are to be shouted about: Dave the chef cooks fantastic (often local) food, Tony the manager is... More

We are a family of two adults and two children ages 6 and 8. We had a great time at Ardachy House - yes, it's a five to ten minute drive to the Iona ferry, but it is worth it. Gorgeous location overlooking a beach (and on clear days, you can see Northern Ireland!!). The kids stayed in the Jura... More

I stayed here for three nights and this was my second visit. Although under new management of Tony and his daughter Alice it did not disappoint. It is beautifully located two hundred yards back from Ardalanish beach with clear views down to the water and across to the islands of Islay and Jura. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed with... More

Spent 2 nights here recently. Toni and Alice were absolutely charming and welcoming (despite having previously read some Tripadvisor reports to the contrary). Breakfast was good, as was the room. Fittings and freshness is a bit more basic than you can find in other b&bs (some sections of carpets leading to rooms and the upholstery on a room seat were... More
