We had the pleasure of eating here and the food was an immense surprise. I started with mussels and these were delicious. The main course of cod with smoked mashed potatoes was exquisite too...and a good healthy portion. Beautifully presented all-round. The dessert of warm...More
This is a very good hotel and very close to the centre of things in Stornoway. It is a lovely town to walk around. Very nice room and a very nice restaurant with good food. Bar prices are very good too.
We stayed here for 2 nights on a Shearings coach tour. Beautiful decor, friendly and efficient staff. Lovely big room (41) with elegant coloured upholstery . Nice breakfast and very good dinner menu choice.

I agree with what is given above. Best to do all you can including stocking up on provisions and petrol the day before. I am not sure Hotel Restaurant is open Sunday evenings - best to check with them. The hotel is great and... More
I agree with what is given above. Best to do all you can including stocking up on provisions and petrol the day before. I am not sure Hotel Restaurant is open Sunday evenings - best to check with them. The hotel is great and staff will point you in the right direction. But Sunday is very different there.
