Saw mixed reviews of this before I stayed. I always try and find good and bad in a place, but if you can find somewhere else before this one then I would recommend it. Plus: clean enough. Breakfast was tasty. Not huge, but enough and good. Bed was creaky, which was a laugh, but slept fine. We had an en...

Really nice host and great breakfast. Room was clean and tidy with a sink. We had a shared bathroom which was also clean and tidy as well. B&B was very close to the ferry terminal which was handy as we came in on a late ferry. Would advise eating on the ferry if you are getting in late as we...

Being a solo traveler, I was so grateful that this beautiful location and house had a twin room with a balcony. I loved sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine, enjoying the sunset and watching the boats. The room had all I needed and was quite comfortable. Yes, there is a shared bathroom but I did not have...

When my wife and I traveled around Scotland in this summer, due to the weather we'd like to stay a place near Uig in Isle of Skye. Via a website I booked this hotel as nearest available one. But didn't notice it was a ferry ride away. When I realised the mistake I called the proprietor to cancel the booking...

Bearing in mind this is £105, 1 night, for twin with shared bathroom, en suite might be more. Arrived at 7:45pm which was 15 minutes earlier than the 8-9pm check in slot booked on line. Greeted by a poster telling us where our room was and that the owners might be in bed or "out visiting". This is in the...

Stayed for one night as part of a road trip round the western isles. Really friendly owner who came to the door (it was pouring rain) to assist me getting in out of the rain! Ample off road parking for cars/safe space for road bike too. Really genuinely nice haven to stay. Also minutes away from the ferry. Ideal. Only...

We had no idea our 105 pounds was not for an en suite room. The room was tiny. We could hear the conversations of other guests. The two good things are (1) good view, and (2) close to the ferry. Otherwise, not worth the price.

The host is lovely but the price you pay is quite high. Suggest you visit the Lewis part of the island instead. The place is quiet generally with lovely views of the bay. Cats and dogs woke me up, they allow dogs at least. Good if you are not fussy about sharing a bathroom. Breakfast was great.

I stayed there in July and I appreciated very much the hospitality of Inga and Jim. I recommend Sandwick Bay. Fantastic scottish breakfast. I also had a good weather for my one day trip around Stornoway. In other words, all was ok.
