Stayed 2 nights as we were visiting family close by. Received a warm welcome from Ali who showed us to our room. The room was very comfortable and welcoming. We had a great view over towards the ferry and out to the small private boats, very relaxing. The b&b cater for allergens and they do it extremely well. The selection... More

My wife and I stayed here for the first 3 nights of a 2 week honeymoon throughout Scotland. We absolutely loved it. The owners were extremely nice and took care of any concern we had. The breakfast was traditional and very good! However, he did have alternate breakfasts available. We enjoyed talking to Ali and his wife every morning before... More

We stayed for two nights in this B and B and whilst the owners were nice enough and the breakfasts were very good, the room was very basic. There was a bulb out in the bedroom and one out in the bathroom. The extractor fan in the ensuite didn't work at all which isn't good considering it opens onto the... More

I had a lovely room with beautiful views over the bay (didn't see the seal that is was apparently swimming around though). The highlight for me was the lovely owners who were very friendly and provided the most amazing gluten free breakfasts, and encouraged me to try out the other delicious gluten free baking.

Spent two nights in this excellent guest house which is situated on the sea-front, two minutes walk from the ferry terminal, and we were royally treated by the very welcoming and hospitable couple who own and run the place. The room on the front was very nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, tasty and plentiful.

I went to the Isle of Lewis and Harris with my dad and brother. We stayed in this lovely B&B and I'm glad that we did. Our flight arrived at around 8 in the morning and we turned up at the B&B at around 9ish. Too early to check in but then we didn't expect to. The owner was only... More

Stayed here recently and was taken aback by the beautiful views of the harbour. Really is in a perfect location for all amenities and only 100m from Tesco supermarket where you can buy sandwiches before setting off for a tour of the island. The owners are very welcoming and provide a large selection of items for breakfast including cereals, fruit,... More

A lovely little guest house, with warm, comfortable rooms. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The place was very quiet, despite being just opposite the ferry. Excellent varied breakfast. Nice intimate setting for breakfast, which encouraged chat amongst the guests. The black pudding was the best ever. We even went to the local butcher to buy a whole pudding to... More

Hal O' the Wynd is ideally located in Stornoway, right across from the ferry terminal, and within walking distance of the town center. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, though the bathroom was quite tiny. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious.

This B&B was booked for me through a tour company I contracted with to visit Lewis and Harris and could not be more pleased. The room was lovely and spacious and had a beautiful view of the water. Breakfast was nice and made to order and included fresh fruit. While I was involved with my tour most of the time,... More
