From the very first email to Laura Jane, our 3 night stay at The Harbour Inn was brilliant based on booking service, room decor, breakfast, dinner in the restaurant and all round charm of the staff. James, the manager, arranged a day of sightseeing, lunch, distillery tours and taxi rides for us. Our room ( number 7 ) has beautiful... More

We really enjoyed our evening here, the food was delicious, the staff are very professional and friendly and there is an amazing view of the harbour that we were happily surprised to see! Thoroughly recommended! We had bread and oils to start which were more than enough for 4 of us. Three of us had fish and chips and one... More

Just WOW. We had just been turned away by the idiot at the Ballygrant inn (please see my review for them), and were wondering if we have been too judgemental, when we walked in to the Harbour Inn and were greeted by the loveliest, smiley cheery waiter (I'm so sorry I can't remember your name). Perfect timing, it was a... More

We stayed five nights in June at the end of our 3 week trip to the Western Isles, the top of Scotland, and Islay. We had dined here 6-7 years ago and I had always wanted to return and stay. We were not disappointed; we chose the ground floor room looking out over water and mountains with its own terrace.... More

Just returned from our second evening meal at the restaurant. The first night my husband and I had the fish and fries with scotch eggs and hay baked beetroot for starters. Tonight I had the best oysters I have ever eaten followed by hake deliciously cooked with lemon potatoes spinach and salsa. My husband had mussels followed by fish and... More

Our son and Daughter -in-law were resident on the Island of Islay and have visited the restaurant regularly. We ate with them for the first time and we really enjoyed the menu. Their only complaint was that the menu, although fantastic, did not change regularly enough so all the things that were on the menu were on the menu the... More

Had a great stay. Staff very helpful and friendly, rooms were great and food in restaurant was great too. Company was paying so wasn't taking any notice of room prices etc but apparently it was a bit steep...but I wasn't caring!

This is an expensive hotel but the furnishings and decor fit the price. Beautifully located beside the harbour. The room we had was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was sensibly sized and well presented although the menu was not that extensive.

Just stayed at Harbour Inn for 2 nights as part of our island hop holiday, the hotel is really nice and the room was good with a fabulous bathroom! the staff were all great and I would recommend that you eat in the restaurant at least once during your stay as the food is excellent. The only small downside to... More
