Stayed here while over for work and hotel I stayed in before was closed. This hotel was a bit cheaper so I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't have to worry this was just perfect for me. Staff were all friendly and although I arrived early for check-in I was shown to room and did paperwork later. Room was...

We stayed here for 1 night, the room was very nice with an amazing view. The bar had a variety of amazing drinks, the food was incredible and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and hopefully return here.

The personnel was kind and attentive - especially the waitress at the restaurant. Rooms are generously equiped with all things necessary, and cleaned every day. Breakfast is plentiful. To be improved: the interior isolation, which is quite poor - e. g. we could hear the next-door guy snoring; the room vibrated when people walked on the corridor. Superior rooms are...

We stayed in Lochside hotel two nights in a family suite. The room was really big, with a huge bed, good pillows and a bathroom with shower. The hotel is in great location close to the bus stop in Bowmore centrum. The staff is nice and the food in the hotel restaurant tasty. It was also nice to be able...

We stayed here for two nights as part of our Scotland tour and found this hotel to be fantastic, the staff and the excellent cooking not to speak of the bar which is rebuild and meets every whiskylovers dreams. The room was specious and quiet with comfortable beds. The hotel is a bit older but everything works and it was...

My husband and I stayed at the Lochside for three nights in mid to late November. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The hotel was charming as well as clean and comfortable. Our room was on the top floor with a great view across Loch Indaal (room 9). The rooms and bathrooms are not large but are in-line...

My husband and I planned to tour the Outer Hebrides and all the Islands when he took early retirement back in 2015. He died a week after retiring of Sepsis. I made the decision to make this journey a year later by myself but for the both of us. Although scared, and very apprehensive I drove the whole journey by...

I agree with the previous reviews, that the bedroom is a bit small, but still adequate, and higher priced than hotels on the mainland for similar quality, however this hotel was full. The restaurant is very busy at all times, and booking in advanced is essential. You won't be disappointed by the quality and wide range of local produce, something...

We had the most beautiful lunch here, The food was freshly cooked, the Lentil soup was like I had never tasted before and the fish and chips were superb. The restaurant and bar were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and the staff were so interested in why we were on Islay, where came from and were generally so chatty -...
