We also took advantage of the spa facilities and were not disappointed. Don't know when but we...

Had a pleasant 2 night stay in October. Staff were very nice and room was clean.Breakfast was rather slow as only one girl on duty as she had to do everything herself. Nice garden at the back of the hotel

Our family have used this hotel for different occasions over the past years. What a let down when we visited last week. We intended to drop in for lunch and a drink. On arrival we asked if the hotel were doing deals for overnight stays, the customer service we got was atrocious,we quickly left and found somewhere else for lunch. The hotel is...

Perhaps it was because we had stayed at a nicer place the previous evening, which also happened to be cheaper, but my expectations were definitely not met at this place. We started by being told that we have to pay on arrival, which I thought was not a nice way to treat guests. Then we were given the wrong directions...

Had a few nights stay over the weekend, all staff were very friendly however the spa receptionist was very off. Food and drinks was very nice. Apart from having to move rooms twice due to the hot water in the shower not working we had a very pleasant stay

The food was very good, served by lovely friendly helpful staff. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were quiet even though it is set on a main road. Wish we had been able to stay for another night. The only downside was in the bathroom, the toilet was very close to the bath and the shower lacked power....

I am away from home quite a lot with work and really appreciate the simple things that aid in a good nights sleep. I didn't experience any of those basic ingredients at the Popinjay. My room was so tiny I was unable to lay my case in the floor in a location where I didn't trip over it on the...
