This is a hard review to write as some aspects of the hotel were fabulous while other aspects make a stay here - less than perfect. The Culzean Castle (The Scots pronounce it cuhl-leen) is a massive building with gardens and acres of woods and fields plus numerous outbuildings. It is a designated national Scottish treasure and is maintained by... More

Culzean Castle was everything we had hoped in our stay and more!! The rooms were large and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good. The grounds of the Castle are beautiful with garden and water views. We went for a hike to be beach and Swan Lake which are also on the grounds. The staff was excellent and each... More

For such a large castle we received a warm , personal welcome. The castle and grounds are beautiful and the staff is so accommodating. Each staff member was so kind and willing to share their knowledge of the castle and the local area. We did not feel like going out for dinner one night and they put together an Ashet... More

Lots of grounds to walk around with lakes, deer, alpacas and birds. Interesting castle to visit. A nice surprise is the gas works (keep the men interested!) Lots of different areas around the grounds an lovely views from the castle.

Its a little expensive like a lot of the heritage sites but it was beautifully done. You could take all day wandering the grounds. Beautiful gardens, the deer, alpacas and other wildlife were nice. It doesnt take long to go through the castle however there are a lot of things to look at. The staff are lovely and went over... More

I'm not supposed to be writing this review per the kids as they don't want anyone else to go there and spoil it. But this is where I found you so, I think it's only fair. We booked the Eisenhower Suite and The Gault, both with magnificent views! I can't say enough about the staff, Billy Young was our server... More

Culzean Castle is a destination, not a place you happen by. It is, however, well worth the drive. The grounds, with hiking trails along the coast, are beautiful. The rooms (there are only six) are spacious and well furnished. With few rooms, you feel as if you have the castle to yourself. The coastal setting is breathtaking. The attentive service... More

Was here wth my son's school trip yesterday, Lovely place, amazing location over looking the sea, the tour was very informative but shame didn't get to enjoy the out doors because we have run out of time. Would definitely come back my family to explore Culzean castle. Love it
