We stayed at Glenapp to celebrate my wife's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff were excellent, friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food at dinner and breakfast were first class. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great hotel and dining experience in South Ayrshire.

We stayed here on our way to another place in Scotland. For the two nights it cost more than all the other places put together and I couldn't help but set my expectations extremely high, there was simply no way it could live up to what I had created in my head and so I was prepared for disappointment. I should not have been concerned, it is fabulous and lived up to my crazy expectations. There is plenty to do, it is quiet and the grounds are great with an interesting walk taking you around the Glen. The staff are great and make you feel privileged to be looked after such a great team, the food, of course is excellent. We chose to do a stargazing experience in the evening (one of the few things not cancelled by Covid) and that too lived up to expectations with Elizabeth triggering an interest which I expect to follow up on when I get home. All in all it was a great two days and even though it's expensive I felt there was value for money. Even the ridiculous Scottish Covid regulations could not spoil the meals although the lack of wine did make it feel a bit odd. If you want to see what it's like to stay in a castle then this has to be on your list.

The staff were excellent and the food was very good. We were disappointed with our Garden View Room which looked over the car park and due to the net curtains (to stop people seeing in) was dark. Superb ground s and walks.

Our Second visit here and just as great as 3 years ago on our honeymoon. The Castle and its grounds are wonderful, the food is fantastic, (Afternoon Tea in the Victorian glasshouse is a must), staff make it feel like home, and it’s a perfect place to stop, relax and make the most of our own beautiful country. We will look forward to our next visit!

The castle and grounds were lovely , unfortunately building work was going on which spoilt it a little bit. It also advertised as a spa hotel but the spa was on a residential camp site 15 mins away . That being said the rooms were lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful . There was a lovely restaurant but in addition there was a fantastic greenhouse offering segregated eating for individual groups . It was totally unique . With your own area and a nice outside garden it gave you your own Covid safe but lovely environment. The food was excellent and beautifully served with an extensive wine list. The only difficulty was the walk back to the hotel on unlit paths but it certainly added a bit of fun! Overall a very pleasant experience especially as we had some nice weather to sit in the garden for drinks.
