Glenapp Castle has a wonderful staff and stunning views from the castle. The lovely garden and walking paths are not to be missed in order to experience the true elegance of the property. We experienced the falconry (5 different birds!), and day trips to the Isle on Arron and the Logan Botanic Garden.

Our stay at Glenapp Castle exceeded our expectations both in service, food and accommodation. The staff at Glenapp would be amongst the best we have experienced in our travels. From the initial welcome and throughout our stay nothing was an issue. Jen (never Jennifer), Benjamin, Theresa, John, Daniel and Lily thank you for a brilliant stay. We thoroughly recommend Glenapp to anyone seeking that extra special holiday. This is a world class establishment with staff to match.

Unfortunately, our stay was only one night, but during that time we were able to experience the entire class of the house and the staff. The castle and the garden are wonderfully designed. Our double with a garden view was very spacious and lovingly furnished. The bathroom is very spacious with great amenities (e.g. bathtub). The welcome from the staff was very stylish and friendly. Our luggage was transported and afternoon tea was freshly served to our room on a silver platter. In general, we found that despite the lack of skilled workers, which many people currently use as an excuse for poor service, everything is arranged perfectly and everyone does a great job. Big compliments to everyone. Finally, something for dinner and breakfast. Delicate, fantastically prepared and served in style by very friendly and competent staff. Tables perfectly set, both taste 5 stars. Glenapp Castle is certainly expensive, but they also offer a lot. We will happily return there.

The welcome as we arrived was like a greeting from a friend. Upgraded 2 levels made us feel very special. This was for my wife's 60th birthday and day 1 we enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu with wine. Every course was delicious. Service from staff exceeded expectations as every request was dealt with quickly with no issues. Would definitely go back and would recommend without hesitation. Outstanding.

From being meet at the car and our bags taken to our room to us being upgraded we had a lovely night. We had the seven course tasting menu, it was lovely and ending the evening with coffee and petit fours. The staff were very friendly. We even meet the owner of the hotel who took a photo of my husband and I. My only complaint was that I wasn't allowed to sit at the window table with a view for my breakfast.

The castle is in a beautiful setting and feels like being in Downtown Abbey. However, what makes this place unique is the staff, with a special mention to Hazel, Louisa, Lilly, and Iona (who has brightest of futures). I would also like to give the biggest shoutout to Jen, whose warm welcome never faded. Furthermore, I highly recommend the falconry experience; the lady who ran it was terrific. She put the welfare of the birds as a top priority and was beyond professional and knowledgeable.

Simply an exquisite castle beautifully maintained and updated, on a lovely property of gardens, pond and forests, but the real bonus comes in the staff and cuisine! Professional, warm and engaging, the team ensures comfort and convenience. The culinary group impresses at every turn, artful presentation and creative flavor combinations! Utmost kudos!

Our time at Glenapp Castle was a mixed bag. While the food and service were outstanding, the room left much to be desired. The smell and the noise level resembled that of a roadside motel, where every footstep and sound from the floor above was disturbingly audible. Worse still, the noise was a constant issue, day and night. When I brought this to the attention of a manager, I was told that the staff was preparing an upstairs area during the night, which was the cause of the noise. The noise did cease, but only for one night, allowing us just one restful sleep in our four-night stay. Shockingly, the hotel offered no compensation for this troubling experience. To add insult to injury, I realized I had left some items behind after checking out. When I asked if they could be mailed to me, I was informed they had been discarded. These factors combined make it hard to understand how this establishment maintains a 5-star rating. While it doesn't factor into my 2-star review, some potential guests might find it helpful to know that the hotel attempted to promote us services at the neighboring Trump resort.

GLENAPP was a truly indescribable experience. It’s hard to describe because I felt like a queen in my own castle. Every request was met with a prompt and joyful response. It was like living a real life fairy tale. I loved the castle, the beautiful well kept grounds, the food (always amazing)and most of all the staff… especially the ever smiling and memorable Benjamin. I’m forever grateful to my Lord for guiding me there with my grandchildren.
