I booked this through a Virgin Experience voucher. We were treated like royalty from start to finish. The castle is beautiful & we had a walk around some of the gardens before we went in for our high tea. We were seated in a lounge area. My only criticism being that the tables and sofas were too low seated for... More

Your every need is anticipated and catered to. I told my travel agent we wanted High Tea at a castle. She booked us for a nights stay at Glenapp. High Tea was extraordinary, just what I would have expected for a proper tea. We also had 3 courses for dinner which was beyond compare. Between tea and dinner we strolled... More

Visited the newly opened Garden Tearoom in the walled garden with my niece for soup and sandwiches and found a little gem. An old potting shed, very tastefully decorated, great food and value for money. Could have done with being a little warmer (its Scotland after all) and the seats might not be as comfortable as they could be, but... More

Went for my wife's birthday and they were more than accommodating, as soon as we got there we done a walk of the grounds which were beautiful! And then went into the castle, lovely atmosphere for tea and cakes, the staff were lovely and even wrote my wife a card to congratulate her lol

Visited this lovely new addition to Glenapp Castle. On arrival everyone was friendly and very courteous. The tearoom in the walled garden is lovely and nostalgic, with some lovely touches. The food was superb, and everything is sourced locally. No booking necessary, but advisable to ring first to make sure not busy. After a light lunch, had a lovely walk... More

The secluded Glenapp Castle promotes itself as the real Scottish Baronial McCoy. Some might think it must be intimidating, a bit formal, a bit Downton in a kilt. Not a bit of it. This Victorian castle is in fact quite homely, more Arts & Crafts country house than the domain of the Duke and Duchess of Snobshire. This is down... More

This is a lovely hotel with great charm.mi particularly liked the room, the library, with the tiger oak and beautiful sone fireplace. Classical beauty, and absolute scots charm! I found the whole experience above average, out shining previous experiences of staying in this area of Scotland by a long, long way. The staff were very professional, and diligent and the... More

We enjoyed afternoon tea today in the glorious and very private Library at Glenapp Castle. We wanted to show our friends, who were visiting the area from Brighton, the best bits of our wonderful corner of Scotland, and it did not disappoint! The food was lovely, the surroundings exquisite and the staff very attentive, nothing to fault at all. Loving... More

We stayed in the Countess of Inchcape room which was just right for our short 3 night stay. The bathroom was very large and the hot water was instant which is unusual in many Scottish castle hotels. The setting was magnificent and we enjoyed a mesmerising view of Ailsa Craig and the beautiful castle gardens. The food was worthy of... More
