Had another fantastic weekend at the Anchorage Hotel and in Troon as we always do whether with family or friends its always a great break away and we look forward to the great hospitality and friendliness of the staff always make it a pleasure to return. My previous reviews have made it clear about the hotels standing as it is... More

We chose this Hotel we were visiting Glasgow and needed a hotel for the night prior to the hotel booked for the weekend in Glasgow, having not been to Ayrshire before we thought Troon or Ayr would be a good idea We only needed a place to clean up and lay our heads. Finding the Hotel was easy with our... More

Jen and everyone were so helpful and friendly. The rooms we had were clean and fresh. I loved hanging in the bar watching the sport and chatting to the locals who really made me feel welcome. Travelling alone as I was, this was great as not everywhere is as friendly as Troon! The food at the Anchorage surprised me the... More

I am new to trip advisor hence the delay in reviewing. Nice staff but rooms are very tired/ dated and urgently need updated. Bar area is quite nice with normal pub food at reasonable prices.Outside parking is safer now nightclub next door has closed.

I can't comment on the accommodation as I only have eaten in the bar. You get a good choice, good service and good pub food which is reasonably priced. The bar has a certain amount of faded charm and with several TV screens there is usually music videos being played. Sporting fixtures also on. Drinks prices are reasonable also. Real... More

We have visited a few times and always had great service. Some of our group are severely disabled, in wheelchairs and require special diets. This is always met with a "no problem" attitude and we find this a very tolerant place where we are made welcome. Only downside is that it is slightly overpriced. That said, we will return

Its an eclectic mix!! well our room was (the Magellan). Eclectic mix of Taps, light bulbs, fixture and fittings. Eclectic might be the wrong word, jaded might suit it better. Don't get me wrong the room and bedding were clean. Its just when you have 4 light fittings you, rightly or wrongly expect 4 bulbs, not two!, you expect the... More

Troon is a lovely little town and the weather helped as it was sunny and hot all weekend. We found all the locals and the people we bumped into that were visiting the area all very friendly. The room in the hotel was a bit dated and in desperate need of decorating but very spacious as we had a family... More
