Excellent service and excellent food. The Hotel has loads of character which you would expect from an old coach house. There was a problem with the room we were given but as rectified immediately by the girl on the reception who was very pleasant and knew the area well, giving us directions to a couple of places we asked about.... Stayed at this supposedly Hotel 12 August to 14th August 16. Firstly Room had no light bulb in ceiling, and a huge crack in the sink the bed was like an ironing board. Drains also had a smell coming from them. We were offered another room on Friday evening however, we had to vacate that room in the morning to... More

If your looking for all mod cons with hot and cold running gadgets, this wee gem from a bygone era is not for you. Beds and towels spotless, food amazing and staff lovely. Decor is a bit tired with feel of needing a wee makeover. This added to the cosiness. We had fab views of the sea. We ended up eating... More

We enjoyed our 2night stay at The Anchorage Hotel. Room and general decor basic/ dated but clean. Bed comfortable. Had sea view from room. Beer Garden pleasant. Staff very helpful and efficient. Food was fantastic. Drink fairly priced. Great value for money.

Oh dear, I'm afraid this hotel needs a shake up! Our room was so awful in every way possible. The bathroom had the most disgusting smell and only one very weak bulb in the sunken spotlight fitting. I would never stay here again, everything looks grubby and dated. The pub part downstairs is o.k though....what a shame it's being let... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Anchorage and the staff were very pleasant.Only complaint.... Could have done with a bit more pasta in the macaroni but it was very tasty, the rest of our party enjoyed their meals too.

We booked a Living Social two night deal for £69 and for this price don't want to complain as we had two nights Bed and Breakfast plus 2 course dinner and a glass of wine on the first night. The food was delicious; wide choice, huge portions and very quick service. Nice cooked breakfast with sufficient choice. From our email... More

We chose this Hotel we were visiting Glasgow and needed a hotel for the night prior to the hotel booked for the weekend in Glasgow, having not been to Ayrshire before we thought Troon or Ayr would be a good idea We only needed a place to clean up and lay our heads. Finding the Hotel was easy with our... More
