My wife and I visited the Anchorage on an Itison deal which included two nights bed and breakfast, with a two course meal on the first night with a glass of wine. We had read the reviews on line so I phoned the hotel prior to arrival to say that we did not want room 20, which had been slated...

We visited the hotel using a groupon voucher we received as a gift. We found the hotel easily and were pleased to discover it has lovely sea views. It is clear that the hotel is going through a phase of upgrading as some parts were in better order than others. The front façade, bar, restaurant and ladies toilets were in...

Room 20....looks like its the worst room in the hotel with dirty skirting, very bad grouting in the shower, dirty walls, no curtains....did have a roller blind but the room looked bare without curtains...the pole was there! Was very disappointed with the state of the furniture, the drawer front only proved to hide that none of the drawers had fixed...

We visited on a 2 night break given as a gift. First impressions were ok as we made our way up the stairs to reception . We were allocated room 20 which I later learned is already the subject of a number of Rotten reviews. On opening the door we could not believe our eyes. This room , and I...

What a pleasant stay me and my husband had on Fri 7th April. Great food, friendly staff, bedroom is dated however it was clean and comfortable just what you need. Beer garden was a nice surprise which we used today before we left. The hotel and bar was much bigger than I expected. Any photos I've seen on trip advisor...

I bought a 2 night stay here that I am ashamed of as the couple could not even stay for one hour let alone two days. It must have been REALLY BAD for them to come back and tell me that the room could not let them even consider staying. I feel so guilty that I wasted both my money...

This was a few nights away as a birthday treat for my husband. The bar food was great, fresh and tidy but unfortunately the poor state of the rooms let the Hotel down. They really need to update their beds and pillows.

“A room at the front will have a lovely view of the sea but a bit of noise for a short time as the pub comes out.”
  • View from room with slight zoom to cut out cars in car park below. Lovely walks round the coast.
