Excellent refurbishment of what was always a lovely building. Great attention to detail, rooms beautifully decorated, bathroom pristine. Enviable range of gins (and whiskies) but found the restaurant service a bit overdone, with every ingredient on the plate explained in detail. Food nice but not exceptional. Dinner better than breakfast. Would have expected better than a choice of just two... More

The Torridon is a grand hotel on the shores of a scenic loch in the Scottish highlands. It is rated Five-Star and costs over 500 British Pounds per night. The facility is immaculate and the setting fantastic, but for what one is paying, the service is sadly lacking. I have stayed in Five-star hotels and retreats all over the world,... More

Where to begin? If you're looking for an idyllic Scottish getaway then this former hunting lodge absolutely smashes it. The stunning old house abounds with character and history yet retains a fabulous charm and comfort not often found in hotels of this type. No stuffy formality - just exceptional and relaxed service throughout. We visited during a rather dreich July... More

Having stayed at the perfectly serviceable Inn during a North Coast 500 run with the guys, it was time to crank it up a luxury notch or two in the main hotel with my wife. Highlights were the staff, location, bar and accommodation. Staff couldn't do more. Diverse group of professionals. Thank you. Torridon is spectacular. Great walks around the... More

The Torridon has beautiful grounds that are worth exploring where you will find heilan coo's and pigs. In the hotel you can see they have put a lot of effort into the little touches. The room was really comfortable and spacious however unfortunately the view was not so great in room number 19. The turn down service was a lovely... More

Style, comfort, TLC, superb restaurant, amazing setting, The Torridon deserves its' excellent reputation. Good value for couples but overly pricey for single guests. A truly Scottish experience in the Highlands.

We stayed two nights at The Torridon in the middle of a two-week road trip across the Highlands in May. We had not planned it as such, but it became our rest-up place in the middle of the trip, and it could not have been more perfect as such. We wandered the grounds for hours, strolled through the kitchen gardens,... More

This hotel was a real treat. I had booked two nights, but a flight delay caused me to only spend one night. The staff were excellent! The room I had was quite spacious, and the bathroom was broken into two rooms. Wifi was very spotty and slow in both the room and lounge areas. Breakfast was excellent and included several... More

We spent the night here at the end of our holiday and didn't want to leave. Everything was perfect - everything! The staff were kind and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel was beautiful - there were so many window seats and comfy chairs with open fires and games to play....and whiskey galore!! We were with our... More

We spent four days at the Torridon last week and had a wonderful experience. If you are looking for a Highland experience in Scotland this is one of the best. While there is free wifi, the opportunity to unplug and connect to the landscape is worth it. We drove from Edinburgh, it took a full 6 hours with two short... More
