If you have in mind a Scottish holiday of sipping tea or whisky by the fire, in rooms that glow with warmth, with a view toward snow-capped mountains or skies carpeted with stars, you will never do better than The Torridon. But there is much more to it than just lazing about (though that was enough). The area is great...

Beautiful hotel set in tranquil and idyllic location on the banks on a loch. Our room looked out onto the loch, all food is locally source, some even grown and reared in the grounds. Bedroom was spacious, and very large comfortable bed. Lovely touch having bed turned down for night with hot water bottle. Slept really well. Well stocked bar...

The establishment is immaculate. Every detail was attended to. I just love it there and will definitely return during each of my visits to Scotland. Love the highland cows, the rushing stream and the loch. The staff is very helpful in all ways. Rooms are very clean and refreshing, large and comfortable.

This place was magical - everything you imagine an english hunting lodge / inn out in the middle of the mountains should be... We enjoyed the MOST amazing whisky and I found myself falling in love with Isle of Harris gin thanks to the magic of the drinks served at the whisky bar. The room was warm and cozy and...

Visited for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. The choice of sandwiches and foods were very grown up and not to the taste of my teenage children which was a pity as it was very expensive (we didn't get a choice). The teas were great however and the sweet treats and cakes good but not exceptional. The staff however were...

We spent one night at the Torridon, visited the bar, had dinner and breakfast. The overall experience was atmospheric and relaxing (WE had bedroom #2 which has a superb view of the hills, a great bath and pop up television screen in the bed-stand). We were welcomed and looked after throughout our stay by particularly attentive and efficient staff. The...

Went to the Torridon for my mums birthday today and it was amazing, the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us, even providing soup before our afternoon tea, it was the best afternoon tea I've had and was very disappointed that we couldn't finish it all, freshly made bread and beautiful cakes, pastries.... It is a journey to...

From driving down the drive past the Highland Cattle to the most relaxed greeting as we arrived at the hotel things just stayed at an incredibly relaxed high standard throughout our stay. We stayed for two nights in the cheapest room (and it really didn't have a view) but the public sitting rooms had great views and getting outside is...

This place is pure luxury. My wife and stayed here 2 nights while driving the NC 500. First-rate service. Beautiful old hunting lodge, now a grande-luxe hotel. Our large 2nd-floor room looked out at the lake and the mountains. Absolutely charming!
