The drive to The Torridon is a 10 mile single lane winding road with mountains both sides. It is bleakly beautiful and then The Torridon comes into view and you think James Bond is about to appear because it is like something out of a Bond movie - sophisticated, elegant and timeless. Everything about The Torrodin is lovely - the... More

Stayed here for two nights, making every second count, because the hotel is exquisite, the setting is sublime and the food and service are perfect. I nearly put my hand through my room window; it was so clean, the glass didn't show! We enjoyed hot tea (complimentary) every afternoon, and it was graciously accompanied by a homemade biscuit. Full afternoon... More

I was completely expecting to leave the Torridon thinking "this was not worth the money." But that was not the case AT ALL. The service was FANTASTIC. The staff not only wanted to help but they went out of their way to find ways to help. The breakfast was amazing!! The room was great, just the right size. The hotel... More

The Torridon comes with big expectations, not least due to the price. There is also a formidable culinary reputation to live up to. The scenery is absolute perfection. The rooms are comfortable. The house is small enough to feel personal, unlike many Victorian Scottish piles. The staff were delightful to a fault, even if one or two struggled with their... More

The Torridon offered all the comforts expected of a classic luxury boutique hotel. Its whiskey bar and the adjoining lounge room with a cosy fireplace made for a great place to retire after a long walk around the shores of the majestic Loch Torridon. The breakfast served in the fine dining restaurant was great as was dinner. There is a... More

Stunning building set in the most gorgeous surroundings, with highland cattle and deer very close by. Tartan carpets, heavy curtains & log fires make it everything you'd have imagined. We arrived at tea time, so passed on the welcome tea & cake which was a shame. Clean & spacious rooms with wifi, nice range of toiletries. Best bed I've ever... More

My wife and I spent three wonderful nights at the Torridon. The greeting by Bridget and Russ was so friendly and their attention to our needs was exceptional. We were disappointed not to meet Dan as we carried a message for him from Toby Ashworth, a hotel owner from Cornwall, but so be it. We stayed in a suite overlooking... More

This is my top favourite hotel ever ! We have stayed here several times and it never fails to delight . It has the best setting overlooking beautiful Loch Torridon and is a great example of Victorian extravagance ( if you like that sort of thing and I do ! ) Service is great the right mix of friendliness and... Cannot understand how some think that the price is not in line with the service and quality. This by far is one of my top picks of all time, the activities alone made the stay more than worth it. We arrived late, so we did miss our first day of activities (Sea Kayaking, because of weather, was replaced with archery),... More

We stayed in hotel for two days. It is hard to find fault with the hotel however the price is completely inconsistent with the quality and service standards. I assume the popularity of the NC500 is increasing demand for the hotel. The owners/management should be careful not to kill the golden goose. Standards need to be much higher for the... More

Thank you for the review. Great to see that everything was excellent with your stay but sorry that you did not feel you got value for money. The hotel has always been busy in August even before the NC500, and our rates for that time of year run May - Oct. Value is subjective and personal and our rates range... More
