Having joined Tripadvisor only recently, I and my husband feel we really must record our commendation for 'Wemyss House'. It has been our regular 'home from home' on visits to northern Scotland over many years. The location, the house itself, food and facilities are of a very high order - and the hosts unfailingly warm, welcoming, informative and entertaining in equal... More

One of the best things about running a bed and breakfast is looking forward to welcoming returning guests, who over the passage of years have become friends. We are so pleased to know you feel relaxed and comfortable in your 'home from home'. Thank you for your complementary review and - 'haste ye back!' More

Comes to something when you can't remember how many times you've visited a B&B. This one is our regular stopping place for our annual trip to Orkney. We always get the SuperKing room, with great views. The welcome feels like coming home, the trick is to know that BYO beer, wine and whiskey which allowed full enjoyment of the great... More

As regular visitors to Scotland since 2000 we knew that £120 per night was half again what most good B&Bs charge, but we figured we'd treat ourselves to a romantic splurge at this self-appointed luxury home. Unfortunately what we experienced was a very average B&B, run by a self-satisfied couple who remind at every turn that they build their own... More

Trip Advisor is a useful tool when seeking reviews, we use it ourselves. We note from your many previous Trip Advisor reviews of B&Bs/Guest Houses/Hotels, that we are not the first to receive a lengthy overblown criticism of a stay that was not to your taste and satisfaction. As owners of a B&B, we know it is difficult to please... More

This B and B is in a league of its own. I stayed here in September last year and again this year. It is a lovely house in a quiet setting and with amazing views. I was welcomed into their home again by Christine and Stuart and was given the same large room with ensuite bathroom, both spotlessly clean and... More

We saw the reviews which said Weymss House Was the best B&B in Scotland and said "we'll be the judge of that". Well it is!!! It was fantastic, from the warm welcome, the beautiful surroundings, the decor, amenities, the food and the hosts. Everything was perfect.

Charming hosts with very comfortable accommodation. Set in a beautiful but often overlooked part of Scotland. Christine can also provide a beautifully presented evening meal. The Pictish cross stones at Nigg and Balintore are well worth a visit.

Thank you for your review and mention of the Pictish stones local to this area. It is true that many people drive north and miss visiting this peninsular which has beaches, Dolphins, fishing villages, standing stones from 800AD and quiet luxury, award-winning accommodation at Wemyss House. More

What a find! We thoroughly enjoyed our one night's stay at Wemyss House. It's set in lush countryside, down a single track road, but you start relaxing the moment you turn into the drive. From the warm welcome from Christine, the delicious homemade cake and tea/coffee served in the stunning sun room, we knew we had found ourselves a special... More

This was our second visit to Weymss House and knowing we would be visiting the area there was no doubt about where we would stay. Weymss House is, in our opinion, one of the best, B&Bs in Scotland. A very warm welcome greeted us on our first winter visit to Wemyss House. A hot steaming latte and home-made cake on arrival were delicious, while we took in the fabulous view across the bay to the snow covered hills. Then a little later as we chatted round the woodburner we were treated to a stunning sunset. The rooms are... More

Thank you for your review of 'Winter Wemyss'. Yes it is a different experience during the colder months when snow lies on the mountains and the air is very clear. So glad you enjoyed the lattes, cake and chatting by the fire on your winter break. Hope to see you both at Wemyss House again in the not too distant... More
