The room was great. Climbing into and out of the "oversized bath" to use the shower was tricky. Had a wonderful sleep. Unfortunately the staff at breakfast were not really interested - just going through the motions. Really spoiled the stay.

We had a 1night stop for dinner , bed and breakfast, on our way round part of route 500. After lots of driving it was just so relaxing to find this peace haven. Big room, big bed, big sofa, big bath. Lovely staff and great food

Stayed here for one night on our way back down from John o groats. The rooms were clean and tidy. Our bed was uncomfortable so maybe new mattresses would be good. We had an evening meal and breakfast here, couldn't fault it. The food was perfect. We would stay here again if we're ever up there again. Enjoyable.

One night stay during our trip on the NC500. Room was on the first floor with windows overlooking the bay. The decor was antique and the red flat screen TV looked out of place. Breakfast was excellent with a big choice. Full cooked for me.

We were given a lovely, spacious room with a bow window facing the beautiful Dornoch Firth. Staff were excellent and very helpful and the food was exceptional. We were there for three nights B&B and had dinner on two evenings and had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Good sized bedroom, nicely furnished in the appropriate period style. Huge wooden doors, nice wallpaper and a fireplace. Wide sweeping staircase down with well proportioned public rooms. Extensive menu (perhaps a bit too extensive for comfort) and decent enough breakfast, although I was left feeling I'd "asked for more" when I asked for more toast and was presented with 1/2... More

We are a family of 4 travelling the NC 500 with a small dog and were given spacious interconnecting rooms at the end of the corridor so lovely and quiet. The hotel is opposite Lidl and Home Bargains but it is a traditional Scottish hotel with great service and good food at a reasonable price.

My wife and I stayed for one night B&B when travelling the 'North Coast 500'. We also had dinner in the bar. Our evening meals were both faultless and very enjoyable. Due to my mobility problems, we had a ground floor bedroom which had an en-suite fully disabled friendly bathroom. The bedroom was a large, very pleasant room, and the... More

We enjoyed a one night stay here whilst returning home to Orkney. Good points: polite and pleasant staff, very tasty dinner (with extensive menu) and good cooked breakfast, spacious bedroom, peaceful ambience, comfy bed, good cleanliness. Bad points: very tired entrance and public areas with threadbare patches of carpet; ill thought out bedroom, with insufficient sockets and a non functioning... More
