We arrived early at 2.30pm, car park empty and into reception which is very dated and to be honest, I thought, 'i dint want to stay'. However, the young receptionist soon came to greet us and she was lovely and sincere, gave us all the details for bar times, breakfast, room floor, etc etc so we went off to our... More

Dundonnell is a pretty fun hotel- some dated features and in need of some updating, but the staff are lovely and the food is fabulous. This is also a very reasonably priced hotel and restaurant combo on the NC500- good for a stop off or one night stay. Also- our waitress was Spanish which was fantastic as my partner could... More

We stayed here and found it to be quite disappointing for the £100 a room. It was no more than £50 worth. The bed was extremely old and uncomfortable, lounge style carpet in the bathroom and a shower which merely trickled. The lack of tv and internet in the rooms didnt matter but a better veiw would have been nice.... More

Lovely location overlooking Loch Broom. Smartly furnished with helpful and chatty staff. Had coffee and homemade cake, excellent. On site parking and near to an island where white tailed eagles reside.. Can also spot whales and red squirrels nearby.

We stayed here as part of our trek along the NC 500 and loved it. Get over the faded, slightly downmarket decor and this prettily-situated hotel makes for an excellent, value for money stopover. No TV in the spacious room (with mountain view) but who cares when there is the excellent Broombeg Bar to eat in - the pork belly... More

This was like a trip back in time to the type of Hotel we used to stay in when I was a kid back in the eighties. But do not let that put you off. This is lovely. Yes the rooms are basic with no TV and furniture that has seen better days but it somehow fits with what the... More

The location off the hotel is our only reason to stay. Don't expect much more then that. In the neighborhood you can go for a walk or a beach. No tv's in the rooms! The Wi-Fi was bad. The staff was friendly.

As others have noted, the Dundonnell Hotel is located right on the highway (A832). You will park across the road and carry your bags into the hotel and up the stairs to your room (we did not observe an elevator which could be problematic for those who have difficulty carrying luggage up one or more flights of stairs). We had... More

We stayed here for 1 night, on route to the ferry at Ullapool. Its a 24 mile trip and takes around 25 minutes. The hotel is in a lovely and remote location. On arrival the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful The rooms were spotless, as was the remainder of the hotel The bar meals were excellent with... More

The hotel and rooms are a bit outdated and pricey for their quality (although I understood that some renovation is in plans), but the place has a nice atmosphere and particularly food in the restaurant was a very pleasant surprise - mostly fish and seafood and everything well prepared from good ingredients. The chef is Spanish and you can taste... More
