The hotel and setting are lovely - fairy and scary trails through the woods made me wish my girls were younger! The room was comfortable though the newly-refurbished bathroom was a bit fantoosh! The menu was disappointing after such rave reviews and people around us complimenting it. It didn't change daily so we opted for B&B on our second night....

We had rented a house in Contin and the hotel was but a short walk through the woods. We went there, ten of us, for lunch. As it happened there was a wedding celebration going on so that added to the experience. The service was friendly and attentive, the food quite acceptable. The house and grounds are quite lovely. I...

If you want the best, not mediocrity, stay at Coul House. The owners are "on the desk" and in the foyer to look after your needs and answer queries, and their staff are a credit to them. Pre dinner drinks, and the wonderful views from the dining room and imaginitive menu are "the full highland experience". As a Scot based...

This is a great place to stop off at, find it on the map, make a detour if necessary, it will be worth it. Great setting, wonderful gardens, marvellous views but the piece d'resistance is the food. Bags of imagination on the menu which the chef and his team really do deliver. The staff are a credit to the hotel,...

The hotel is a hidden jewel, which oozes charm and character - including its fairy glen in their woods. The staff are wonderful, and cannot do enough to make your stay a special one. The food is first class. A wonderful experience, and a hotel to be highly recommended.

We saw the sign from the road and decided to stop for lunch. The warm welcome we received from the lovely receptionist and the beauty of the surrounding, convinced us to inquire about availability of a room. Let's just say we were not disappointed; everything thing was spot on from the cozy bar, lovely view from the terrace where you...

If you are in the area, this Hotel is not to be missed. An old mansion, stately and refined. The owners participate in management, hands on. They both work in the dining room. Rooms are spacious. The surrounding lawns and gardens are sumptuous. The waitstaff in the dining room, all young women from a variety of countries, are friendly and...

Stayed with our beloved pooch, quite possibly the best hotel we've stayed in. Food was outstanding, staff fabulous, setting stunning and as for the "fairy trail" absolutely magical. Counting the days till we go back!
