Our visit to Coul House was my Christmas present to my husband and we have just returned from our two night stay. What can I say other than thank you, thank you, thank you for a most enjoyable and excellent hotel stay. We had stayed years ago before the present owners took over and we were not disappointed with the...

Always difficult to find a good surprise for my wife's birthday on 7th January and this time it had to be special as she had reached the milestone of -- (I am brave not stupid). It was also my cousins birthday a few days before, so It was arranged that to have a double celebration and we booked the hotel...

It's easy to hand-out five stars and say great things, but do you really mean-it and it is trully warranted? Well, I've found my new 'favourite hotel' in the Highlands and my only disappointment was that I arrived a bit late to the party! I really mean that and it's totally warranted. The first thing to say is that, if...

We stayed here for a birthday treat booked by my parents, They booked us dinner, bed & breakfast. We weren't sure what to expect but boy was it fabulous. The welcome we received on arrival was fab, shown around the ground floor and then shown to our room which is something you don't get when staying at larger hotels. The lounges...

As a family we went to Coul House a couple of years ago for Afternoon Tea - soaking wet and 3 Terriers in tow after a bracing walk. No problems - welcomed! This time it was a Birthday Lunch and I remembered just how friendly and welcoming Coul House is. Food was lovely, service great and a wonderful local atmosphere....

Coul House Hotel does everything well. The owners and their staff are all on the same page when it comes to service. They are attentive, friendly and efficient in carrying out their respective service functions. Whether it is the afternoon tea service in the tastefully decorated lounge overlooking the garden, the waiters' execution of their service in the exquisite dining...

We stayed here for one night, but wish it could have been longer. We experienced such a warm welcome with extremely attentive staff and a spectacularly restored manor house. The ambiance was absolutely charming. Highlights were the whiskey by the wood fireplace, shortbread and tablet, and a delicious evening meal. We truly can't say enough about the wonderful time we...

It's a bit out of the way but worth the journey for a really warm welcome and a most cosy small hotel. Rooms were a reasonable size and our en-suite had just been renovated and was quite spacious. Service throughout was very good although at dinner in a busy restaurant attention dropped and we had to request wine on more...

A wonderful Birthday treat last Sunday on arriving at Coull House. We had kept a Birthday Voucher for some months just to be able to enjoy the Christmassy atmosphere at the Hotel (vouchers last for 11months). The staff are charming and the Tea for Two was delightful ,really more than expected in every way. We were so impressed we bought...
