My wife and I and a couple of close friends recently spent a week in Whitebridge and the Whitebridge Hotel became our second home, we enjoyed great company, good beer and hearty meals. Gail and her team could not have done more for us, we had a dinner in the main dinning area which was just great, service was amazing,...

My father and I travelled to this lovely old hunting lodge for a long weekend. Andrew and Gail were attentive and generous hosts. The rooms were warm and very comfortable, both had been updated and redecorated very recently. The hotel itself is charming and full of character. The menu catered for us both and as a vegetarian I was delighted...

A high windswept location and a welcome stop if travelling along the southern side of Loch Ness. Very friendly host & hostess and very tasty food. An old fashioned atmosphere where you're likely to find some broad Scots being spoken by locals.

Stayed here for a night in a family room before running the Loch Ness Marathon. Lovely room, good pub grub, friendly owners and great beer (perfect when carb'ing up for a marathon!). Hope to return soon.

When I came to stay here in April, though I liked the location, I was not overly impressed with the bedrooms: very mis-matched, outdated furniture and nothing of a homely feel. However, when I came back this month (August) I was pleasantly surprised. A lot of change has happened in those short months. A big effort had been made to...

We went in around 6.30 but service was slow, the young lads of the family took orders promptly it just seems there's a slowdown in the kitchen. Ended up waiting 45 minutes for food. I had heard it was new owners that moved in Mid-July so hopefully things will improve with the speed of dishes coming from the kitchen. Food...

Whitebridge is a small lodge site based 8 miles North of Fort Augustus in the middle of superb scenery. We actually stayed in the lodges not the hotel but this is more of a review of the area of Whitebridge. At the lodges there is very limited Wi-Fi and no mobile signal, but that just ensures that you enjoy more...

The food here is fantastic. All homemade stuff. Me and my wife ate here 4 times last week. Currys were are favourite. Prawn pathia and chicken jalfrezi. Chilli, fish and chips, fish pie, venison pie. All fantastic. And I went through all the deserts which were all delicious. Favourite was chocolate chestnut and brandy tart. Very friendly staff, dog friendly....

We came back to stay in this hotel after a visit five years ago when we had dinner in the bar and were incredibly impressed with the food, particularly the vegetarian options. Lucky for us the same chef was still there and the food both nights (and mornings) was excellent. It really is Scotland’s best kept secret. The accommodation was...
