This was our second visit to Tigh Na Bruach, having first visited in September 2018. Even though it was a year ago, coming back here to Catherine and Ian's idyllic B&B on the shore of Loch Ness seemed like it was only a few weeks ago. Our first visit was perfect and it was comforting to find things exactly the same and just as luxurious and welcoming as before. There are only 3 rooms, each as lovely as the others, and whilst I am loathe to share this secret with others, it would not be fair to Catherine and Ian not to heap praise upon them for the perfection that they have created. You will not find more welcoming and attentive hosts than this lovely couple and neither will you find a better place to unwind, relax and explore the beauty of Loch Ness and the surrounding Highlands. We stayed for 2 nights as part of my birthday celebrations. I’m so glad we booked here having toured the Loch this has to be the best in the area the grounds have their own private access to the waters edge which none of the others do. The room was large, clean, comfortable with so many extras you won’t get anywhere else like bathrobes, slippers, cotton ear buds and pads, 2 double wardrobes, binoculars even books and DVDs if you wish. It was lovely to sit in the peaceful surroundings and watch the lake and birds feeding just across from the room. Breakfast is lush with fresh fruit salad and food cooked perfectly to your preference. I can’t fault anything here my only regret is I didn’t find it sooner as it seems the lovely owners may look to retire shortly
We just left today after staying 3 nights. This is a beautiful place right on the shore of Loch Ness. Catherine and Ian are super hosts that have paid attention to every single little detail from the sherry left in our room to the toilet paper art that was different each day. This was a thoughtful place to stay, how else do you describe hosts that try to think of your every need and help to make your stay amazing. The shower was the best shower on our trip, perfect pressure and no fluctuation in the temperature. Heated towel racks are a thing in the UK and this was the first one that was actually on. It was a nice treat to have warm towels after our shower. The garden is amazing. This is a well cared for yard and really worth taking your time to walk around. There are beautiful flowers and sculpted hedges and hidden secrets. A lot of time has gone into its care and we really appreciated it. We also really liked when Rowan stopped by for a pet. We have dogs at home and it really was nice to scratch the old girl. I think it made her day too. I would recommend staying here to anyone. We loved it and if we are ever back to Scotland, we will return. …
People on Trip Advisor who are looking for quiet luxury.....Tigh Na Bruach is your place. It is elite in the fact that it hosts only six people at a time. It is on the banks of the Loch Ness and a close drive to touristy things as well as incredible mountain hiking. Catherine and Ian are absolutely wonderful people who are complimented by their equally wonderful girl Rowan. My room was not only ridiculously clean (and I have stayed at many five star hotels) but small, sweet accoutrement were always left behind. Being a dog person, coming home to Rowan waiting for me on the porch made my heart melt.....oh yeah...every room had a private porch. Do yourself a favor and book this place - it’s affordable and oh so worth it.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay on Loch Ness with private beach access to same. Ian and Catherine were so welcoming and nothing was too much to ask for. Genuinely pleasant people and really good company. There is nowhere else I would rather stay. The room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was cooked to ordet and exceptional. STAY HERE! Tried adding photographs to show how exceptional this place is but system saying they are too large.
